The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Miss Black Jack (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced, Blanc De Noir, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed sixth, and The Poacher Daly, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, where it appeared the three horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that he felt pressure from both sides. M.W. Hassett stated that his mount completely stopped when he got into the straight. B.M. Coen stated that he kept a straight line and had to take a slight check as things just got tight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Miss Black Jack (GB), trained by John S. O'Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room one and a half furlongs down.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Genesis, trained by Alan McIntyre, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
M.W Hassett, rider of The Poacher Daly, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly in the straight and got ran into from behind.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after the start involving Salah Belle, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fifth, Blanc De Noir, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed sixth, and Velvet Skies, ridden by W. Joyce, placed fourth, where it appeared Blanc De Noir ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
185B1 Conference & Banqueting Facilities M'dnR.C. Colgan, rider of Mapa (CAN), trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung a little right in the straight.
N.M. Crosse, rider of No Smoke, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.
185B2 Conference & Banqueting Facilities M'dnSiobhan Rutledge, rider of Breathe Again, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was pushed out on the home bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
185C Bar One Racing H'capJ.A. Heffernan, rider of St Laurence's Gate, trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount drifted a little right when challenging.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from R.P.Cody, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Newfire, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. R.P. Cody reported that the filly disappointed at Gowran Park the last day and thinks the likely drop in trip to one mile today may have contributed to the improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
185D Savoy Median Auction (Fillies) M'dnB.M. Coen, rider of Declaree, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left out of the stalls.
R.P. Whelan, rider of La Vita Nova, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around a bit when he hit the front.
185E Panoramic Restaurant Apprentice H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Neve Bennett, rider of Barrogstown Girl, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Neve Bennett was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her record in this regard (first offence), they suspended her for two racedays.
S.P. Bird, rider of Easky Maid, trained by Edward P. Mitchell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Just Another Eagle, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount ran keen early and rolled off the first bend.
185F Private Suites Limerick Racecourse H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Killeemore Lad, trained by Andrew Slattery, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
K.G. Kennedy, rider of Barrier (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight.
M.W Hassett, rider of Influential Lady, trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran up on heels coming into the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
