The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-
J.A. Nash, trainer of Rene Artois (ran yesterday) - €200311D Adare Manor Opportunity (M) M'dn H'dle
J. Kearney, rider of Blacksmiths Forge, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action and was pulled up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Blacksmiths Forge, trained by Gerard Keane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
S. Cleary-Farrell, rider of Poetic Focus, trained by Barry J. Fitzgerald, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left in the closing stages.
The Raceday Stewards informed C. O'Keeffe, trainer of Kilbarry Ce Ce, that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who unseated the rider at the start and ran free when reunited with the rider before being withdrawn by order of the Raceday Stewards may render the animal liable to suspension in future.
The Raceday Stewards considered the circumstances surrounding the cantering back of Whitewinewednesday ridden by G.B. Noonan following its withdrawn at the start by the Racecourse Veterinary Officer. The rider stated the his mount was cleared to ride back by the Veterinary Officer which was subsequently confirmed. Having considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
311E Powerscreen New England H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mary's Pride, trained by Edward Cawley, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of delayed recovery post race.
311F Frank Lynch & Co Chartered H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ragmans Corner, trained by Gerard Keane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Blackcastle Storm (GB), trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last and was eased.
The Raceday Stewards fined Matthew J. Smith trainer, €65 for fitting a hood to Blackcastle Storm (GB) which had not been declared and ordered it’s removal.
311G Morgan Fuels (Ladies P-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pay The Tab, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms A. Budds, rider of Coole Cottage, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that she was in breach of R10 and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms. A. Budds was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having consider her clean record in this regard, they suspended her for eight racedays.
Miss H.M. Smullen, rider of Pay The Tab, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount pulled hard early in the race and found nothing afterwards.
Miss C. Butler, rider of Slice Of Paradise, trained by Brendan Oliver Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount felt unsound and pulled up before halfway. The IHRB Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed Slice Of Paradise was lame of its right fore.
311H Protection & Prosperity H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr E.T. Mellerick, rider of Oogum Boogum, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that it was misjudgement on his part and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. E.T. Mellerick was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record they suspended him for three racedays.
E. Walsh, rider of Bella Be Good, trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and was pulled up. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed to the Raceday Stewards that Bella Be Good had blood at the nostrils post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Victory Star (GB), trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, S.W. Flanagan, rider of Shesabreeze, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was struck into and pulled up as a consequence. The animal was subsequently examined by the IHRB Veterinary Officer at the request of the Raceday Stewards, who reported that Shesabreeze sustained a cut on the left hind and was lame post race. The raceday Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
311J O'Neills.com M'dn H'dleP. Hanlon, rider of Call Your Bluff (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green throughout.
C.M. Quirke, rider of Teagarden Jazz (GB), trained by Charlie Keegan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise in running.
R. Deegan, rider of Fast Felix, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran free on the way to the start and jumped a hurdle despite his best efforts. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
