The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Expressova (off feed) - €200

312A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Galveston (GB), ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed first, and Local Lad, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed second, where it appeared Galveston rolled around. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from the finish involving Junkyard Dog, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fourth, Mocking, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed fifth, Adrienne, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed sixth, and Prada's World, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced, where it appeared numerous horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.E. Sheehy stated that there was no gaps so he just had to wait. R.P. Whelan stated that he didn't feel much at the time. D. McMonagle stated that when Prada's World was going backwards he had to switch so he didn't run into the back of him. He further added his mount overreacted and bumped the horse beside him. R.C. Colgan stated that his mount shied away from the horse in front of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

312B Punctual Print M'dn

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately 150 yards from the finish involving Lost Soul, ridden by J. Cleary, where it appeared J. Cleary had to sit for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

312C Ir. Stall. Farms EBF Birdcatcher Nursery

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tommy McJohn, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Kodilicious, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hit every ridge.

D. McMonagle, rider of Last Encore, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right off the bridle.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed M. Crehan, rider of Snapdragon, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated his mount is an awkward ride. He further added he heard shouts from other riders and used his whip down the shoulder for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M. Crehan was in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

312D RFL Steels Stakes

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Shandy, trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the gates momentarily.

312E Tote.ie H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J. Power, rider of Stag Night, trained by W. McCreery, concerning his riding in the closing stages where he appeared to ease his mount prematurely losing a place as a result. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that that he mistook the fifty yard post for the winning post and apologised for his actions. He further added that he felt he may have been in second or third place at the time. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.J. Power was in breach of R.212 (A)(iv)in that he stopped riding and lost a better placing. Having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended D.J. Power for seven racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. D.J. Power was accompanied by his master W. McCreery.

312F Oktoberfest Weekend H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from the finish involving Quar Shamar (GER), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, and Ramiro, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, where it appeared J.A. Heffernan may have struck Ramiro with his whip. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that he wasn't aware of the incident and felt nothing. He further added that his mount is a hold up horse and he landed down beside Quar Shamar in a stride. J.A. Heffernan stated that he had intended to hit his own mount but was aware he did not connect as his whip got tangled. He further added that it was accidental. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Facethepuckout, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
