The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Paul Hennessy, trainer of Ocean Of Mercy (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. King rode Carlas Big Jim (reserve) trained by L.J.Archdeacon (Race 6)
S. O'Keeffe rode Smallcraftwarning (reserve) trained by John Patrick Ryan (Race 6)
Mr. J.H. Williamson replaced Mr J.M. Halford on St Cuthbert's Cave, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 3)(unwell)
S.W. Flanagan replaced Rachael Blackmore on Popova, trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 4)(stood down).
C. Stone-Walsh replaced Rachael Blackmore on Gondor, trained by C.A.Murphy (Race 6)(stood down)

118A Kerry Tool Hire (M) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sugar Cookie (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend leaving the back straight involving Getaways Charm, ridden by J.C. Gainford, placed sixth, Kilfera (GB), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed fifth and Paudie's Wings, ridden by C.M. Quirke, fell on the flat, where it appeared that Paudie's Wings clipped a heel and came down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.C. Gainford stated that he maintained his line and was unaware of the incident going on behind him. D.E. Mullins stated that he went for the gap, and it got tight on the point of the bend. C.M. Quirke stated that he was dropping back when his mount leaned in behind the horse on the inside and clipped a heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

C.M. Quirke, rider of Paudie's Wings, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel.

118C Irish Examiner Novice H'dle

G.B. Noonan, rider of Carrigg Island, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran off the home bend.

118F Dan Linehan's H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Three In A Row, trained by A.L.T.Moore, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

118G Alan Ball Memorial Hunters S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Gleeson, rider of Dundaniel, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr P.W. Gleeson was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr B. Finn, rider of Plan Of Attack, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr B. Finn was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

118H Executive Helicopters Lad. P/A Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Miss E. A. Lalor, trainer of Ballyredinkingston, for an additional ten minutes to present her charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).
