P. Byrnes, rider of Ifallgoeswell, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped the inspection hurdle on the way to the start. Having considered the report and reviewed the video evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Chasing Blues, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled and fell independently of any other horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
J.G. Gilligan, rider of Eyeeye (GB), trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen and pulled up.
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Red Or White, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right and pulled up.
115D Michael J. Doyle Memorial H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident between the third and second last hurdle involving Come On The Lads, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed third and Must Meet Cecil, ridden by T. Power Roche, unplaced where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.E Buckley stated that he went to angle out and his mount over exaggerated the move. T. Power Roche stated that his mount was starting to come backwards and has a tendency to drift in. He further stated he did not recieve interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to seriously remind T. Power Roche to be more accurate when giving evidence.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Frankendael (GB), trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have given a few coughs whilst being examined but was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, C.P. McNamara, rider of Frankendael (GB), trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that it was his mounts first run back after a break, so he was held up to come home and just kept on from the last.
E. McNamara, trainer of Frankendael (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge on endoscopic examination was found to have burst a blood vessel.
115G Tote Killarney National H'cap S'chaS. O'Callaghan, rider of Hascoeur Clermont (FR), trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly and pulled up.
115H Killarney Racegoers (P-A) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Galileo Sand, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J.L. Gleeson was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.
