At the request of the Stewards, C.T. Keane, rider of Fast Celt, trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away out of the starting stalls.

241B Thanks To All The Frontline (F) M'dn

The Stewards informed M.Halford, trainer that Sindhia, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

James J. Doyle, rider of Belted (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the starting stalls.

S. Foley, rider of Lady Tasmania trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not move well during this race.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Nothingcomparestou trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount bolted on the way to the start.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fame And Acclaim, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

241G1 Mallow H'cap

The Stewards fined W.P.Browne, trainer, €65 for fitting cheek pieces which had not been declared to Anythingyouwantobe (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

W.J. Lee, rider of Petticoat Rule trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right during this race.

The Stewards interviewed W.J. Lee, rider of Petticoat Rule, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied to give W.J. Lee the benefit of the doubt in accepting that the first hit was used for corrective purposes and as the remaining hits did not breach R10(3)(g), they did not take any action

The Stewards requested a report from W. McCreery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Petticoat Rule, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Killarney on the 19th August . W. McCreery reported that the application of a visor and the fast ground conditions were contributing factors for today's improved run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report

T.E. Whelan, rider of Predictability trained by Eamonn O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and found the ground conditions to be too fast.

The Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Jered Maddox (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.W. O'Connor was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended D.W. O'Connor for 1 raceday.

241G2 Mallow H'cap

T.E. Whelan, rider of Pirate's Treasure (GB) trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very unruly.

The Stewards requested a report from Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Fascinating Spirit, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run at Dundalk and felt the new surface may have contributed to this. He further stated that his charge appeared to have a liking for this racecourse having ran well here prior to her Dundalk run and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
