The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined On Guard (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
279C KWD H'cap H'dleT. Ryan, rider of Uno Momento trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Stewards requested a report from Paul O'Flynn, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Quarry Lil, placed first, as compared with her recent runs at Cork on the 2nd August and 24th July 2020. Paul O'Flynn reported that his charge had disappointed on both previous runs at Cork. Since then he trained her from the field and paired her with a companion pony. He replaced some of her training routine with swimming instead of galloping. In his opinion she became a happier animal and put on condition. He considered that these were the contributing factors to today's improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
279D Plaza Hotel Rated Novice H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tune The Chello, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
R.M. Power, rider of Tune The Chello trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race.
279F Towers Hotel H'cap S'chaseT. Ryan, rider of Highest Benefit trained by W.J.Austin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered by a loose horse at the turn into the straight
279H Ross Road Handicap HurdleD.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Long Island Jenn trained by Miss Denise Marie O'Shea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.
The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the back straight involving Padraic's Choice, ridden by J.S. McGarvey, unplaced, Gendarme, ridden by G.B. Noonan, unplaced and Betterask Jj, ridden by Jamie Hayes, unplaced, where it appeared that Padraic's Choice stumbled in running. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action
J.S. McGarvey, rider of Padraic's Choice, trained by P.Meany, stated at a Stewards' Enquiry that his mount clipped a heel and stumbled at the turn into the back straight
