The Stewards informed Daniel Joseph O'Leary, trainer of Rio Storm, that his charge may be liable to suspension should it show signs of unruly behaviour in the preliminaries or during a race in the future
272B Kilsheelan (Mares) M'dn H'dleMr M.J.M. O'Sullivan, rider of Citizen's Army trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount became unbalanced on the downhill run on the first circuit and later in the race while crossing the top of the track, made a respiratory noise.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Eternal Gale trained by Andrew Slattery was noted to have blood at both nostrils post race.
The Stewards enquired into an incident on the downhill run on the first circuit involving Lady Rocco, ridden by J.S. McGarvey, placed sixth, Loughaneala Og, ridden by P.T. Enright, fell at this point, Moonlight Symphony, ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed fourth and Barto, ridden by C.J. Orr, unseated at this point, where it appeared that Loughaneala Og was tight for room when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by J.S. McGarvey riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.S. McGarvey for 7 racedays
272C Carrick-On-Suir H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed J.S. McGarvey, rider of Lightsider, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.S. McGarvey was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.S. McGarvey for 2 racedays.
J.C. Canavan, rider of Shedding trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having been carried out of this race by a loose horse
272D Clonmel H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Woodbrook Boy, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Memories Remain trained by John C. McConnell was noted to have blood at the right nostril post race.
272E I.S.F.EBF Captain Christy Rated Nov.S'chThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fred The Foot, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained an injury to his left foreleg.
272F Tickincor H'cap S'chaseMiss J. Townend, rider of Port Rashid trained by Timothy Townend, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount hung right in running and later on gurgled after the last fence.
J.J. Slevin, rider of Jack Holiday trained by John F. Gleeson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left on the bend away from the stands.
