The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K. J. Manning replaced R.P. Cleary on Acuity (GB), trained by J. S. Bolger (Race 4)(Stewards permission)
R. P. Whelan rode Distant Mirage (GB) (reserve), trained by J.F. Levins (Race 2)
R. P. Cleary rode Chica Boom Boom (reserve), trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery (Race 2)

271A Kilminfoyle House Stud M'dn

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Princess Mead trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green throughout.

The Stewards informed Miss Elizabeth Doyle, trainer, that Princess Mead, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

271B Fairyhouse Racecourse Claiming Race

The Stewards informed G.M.Lyons, trainer, that Whoareyouanyway, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards informed Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, that Double Coffee (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards informed Andrew Duff, authorised representative for G.M.Lyons, trainer of Whoareyouanyway, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to load, may render the animal liable to suspension in the future.

The Stewards informed Brendan Powell, authorised representative for Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Double Coffee (GB), that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to load, may render the animal liable to suspension in the future.

The Stewards received a request from J. F. Levins to allow R. P. Whelan to carry 2 lb overweight on Distant Mirage, reserve. Having considered the evidence the Stewards allowed the request

271C Follow Fairyhouse On Social Media H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from D.J. Bunyan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Limit Long (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. D. J. Bunyan stated that on its most recent run at the Curragh on the 26th of September his charge was poorly drawn and also did not handle the holding ground. D. J. Bunyan felt that the good draw coupled with the softer, looser going today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

271D1 Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Stewards interviewed S.M. Crosse, rider of Dr Patrick, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S. M. Crosse in breach of Regulation 10.3.(b), the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having considered S. M. Crosses record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

271E Discover Boyne Valley H'cap

The Stewards interviewed F.F. Da Silva, rider of Chilean (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found F. F. Da Silva in breach of Regulation 10.3.(i) time to respond and (b) the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having considered F. F. Da Silvas record in this regard the Stewards suspended F. F. Da Silva for one raceday.

The Stewards interviewed M.P. Sheehy, rider of Gee Rex, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found M. P. Sheehy in breach of regulation 10.3.b, the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having considered M. P. Sheehys record in this regard the Stewards suspended M. P. Sheehy for two racedays. M.P. Sheehy was accompanied by Martin Hassett at this enquiry.

G.M.Lyons, trainer of French Rain, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was distressed post race.

271F Visit Meath H'cap

The Stewards interviewed D.N. Curran, rider of Adamaris, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D. N. Curran in breach of regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered D. N. Currans record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

271G Dunboyne Castle Hotel H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pure Nature (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Pure Nature (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.

D. McMonagle, rider of Carol's Return (GB) trained by William Durkan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle todays going.
