The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Shalaalaa (GB), ridden by Sam Ewing, Dazzling Spirit, ridden by B.M. Coen, and Vocito, ridden by K.J. Manning, where it appeared Vocito got tight for room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sam Ewing gave his evidence in the presence of Mr. S. Lyons. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that interference took place but did not attribute blame to any individual rider.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Moonhall Girl, trained by Patrick Joseph Hayes, at the request of the Handicapper with the permission of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal but did show signs that she may be coming into season.
298B Knockaire StakesS. Foley, rider of Free Solo trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared leaving the stalls.
298C Killavullan StakesS. Foley, rider of Zaffy's Pride trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen and hung left from the turn in.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ontario, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Handicapper and with the permission of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
298D Leopardstown Members Club M'dnThe Stewards noted an incident in the back straight involving Charlie Bassett, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Wrinkle In Time (USA), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Wrinkle In Time (USA) was running very free and had to be switched to the outer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no enquiry was warranted.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Lord Park, ridden by A.J. Farragher, and Yankee Stadium, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, where it appeared Yankee Stadium had his ground taken. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found A.J. Farragher in breach of Rule 214(careless) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 5 race days.
A.J. Slattery, rider of Born To Rule trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged towards the inner in the straight.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Peckham Springs trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left all the way.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Yankee Stadium trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with significant interference in the straight.
298F Retro Drive In Movies October H'capThe Stewards granted permission for Melburnian (Fr), trained by A.J. Martin, to race without a tongue strap in this race.
S. Foley, rider of Camphor trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room in the straight.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Sovereigns Bright trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen all the way.
