The following trainers were fined €200 in each case for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):- Joseph G. Murphy for Lady O Malley (in season) at Cork on 6th August and Timothy Doyle for Vasoni (in season) at Curragh on 11th August.
Ballinrobe Meeting, 12th August 2013
The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of his non-runners:-.

The Stewards authorised the following nomination and substitution of rider at this meeting:-.

214C Burleigh Accountants Handicap & A. Oliver, trainer of Land A Blow (FR), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge finished lame.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Land A Blow (FR) at the request of trainer and reported the animal to be lame post race.
214F Broderick’s Electrical Handicap Hurdle & D.E. Mullins, rider of Best Value, trained by T.J. Nagle Jr, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled or jumped and was therefore pulled up.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Best Value at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race. Samples were taken for analysis.

215A Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden & The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving the winner Green Tag, ridden by F. Lynch, Mekong River, ridden by J.P. O’Brien, placed second, and So So Far (USA), ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fourth.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Green Tag had improved his placing by causing interference to Mekong River and they therefore reversed the placing of the first and second placed horses and took no further action. The result now reads as follows:-.
First: Mekong River, Second: Green Tag, Third: Asknotwhat, Fourth: So So Far (USA), and Fifth: Tithonus.
G.F. Carroll, rider of Healthy Habits, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly in this race.
215D Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Hurry Harriet Stakes & M. Halford, trainer of Mizzava, reported to the Officer of the Governing Bodies on Friday 16th August, that his charge was found to be in season post race. &
215E Gowran Park Centenary 2014 Handicap & D.M Grant, rider of Tropical Mist, trained by George J. Kent, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount became upset prior to the start of this race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tropical Mist at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Mordanmijobsworth, trained by G.M. Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
L.P. Dempsey, rider of Campanology (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels about five furlongs from the finish of this race.
215F Golf Membership At Gowran Park For 2014 Apprentice Handicap & L.P. Dempsey, rider of Antiquus, trained by Ms Joanna Morgan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was tightened up and had to check about five furlongs from the finish of this race.
G.J. Phillips, rider of Black N Brew (USA), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was tightened up and had to check about five furlongs from the finish of this race.
R.A. Doyle, rider of House Limit, trained by J. Larkin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount received pressure from his outside and as a result had to check.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Three D Alexander at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
216B Bulmers Original Music Night Handicap & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Sophies Echo, trained by Thomas Cleary, was found to have been badly struck into behind post race.
216C ‘Happy Monday’ Apprentice Handicap & R.A. Doyle, rider of Ted Dolly, trained by Edward U. Hales, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled in this race.
Mrs Prunella Dobbs, trainer of Carried, reported to the Stewards’ Secretaries at Roscommon on 19th August that her charge finished lame.
216E Desmond Stakes Race & The Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of Ansgar, placed second, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Cleary was breach of Regulation 10 3.(f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency.
Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for three race days (29th and 31st August and 2nd September).
216F Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund ‘Sovereign Path’ Handicap & P.J. Smullen, rider of Rock Critic, trained by D.K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled and weakened quickly in the home straight in this race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rock Critic at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
216G Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden & C.D. Hayes, rider of Miss Ballygally, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Stewards’ Secretaries that his mount became unbalanced in the straight in this race.

217E Pat Woodbyrne Memorial Handicap Steeplechase & R. Walsh, rider of Sicilian Secret, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action in this race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sicilian Secret at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
217G Sunnybank Hotel Beginners Steeplechase & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Passage Vendome (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.

218C Follow @tramoreraces On Twitter Race & Michael Mulvaney, trainer of Stepping Down, reported to the Stewards’ Secretaries at Dundalk on 18th August that his charge was found to be very lame post race.
218D Fourth Time Lucky Handicap & A.P. Thornton, rider of Deputy Consort (USA), trained by Miss Claire Louise Cannon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
Miss Claire Louise Cannon, trainer of Deputy Consort (USA), subsequently reported to the Turf Club Veterinary Officer that her charge made a choking noise in this race.
218E EY Rated Race & The Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer of the winner Moveable Asset, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form.
The trainer reported that the animal disappointed in his previous race at Wexford on good to firm going. The horse returned to form today on softer ground conditions and at a course that he has won on in the past.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted it’s content.
218F Like Tramore Racecourse On Facebook Handicap & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Darwins Theory, trained by John Queally, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be excited at the start. As a result, Darwins Theory was withdrawn from this race by Order of the Stewards and samples were taken for analysis.

The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of his non-runner:-.

219A Style Evening At Tramore Races Mares Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed J.P. Holly, rider of the winner Derrylea Girl, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.P. Holly was in breach of Regulation 10 in that he had failed to give his mount sufficient time to respond.
Having taken his record into account, the Stewards therefore cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.
219C Chia Bia 4 Life Handicap Hurdle & D.J. Casey, rider of On A Jetplane, trained by David M. O’Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced with reluctance.
B.T. O’Connell, rider of Silverglade, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was found to be lame post race.
219D Waterford & Tramore Racecourse Directors Handicap Hurdle & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Zane Grey, trained by Henry De Bromhead, was found to be post race normal.
219E Summerhill Shopping Centre, Tramore Beginners Steeplechase & The Stewards requested a report from John Queally, trainer of the winner Ancient Days, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form.
The trainer reported that the animal ran well over an inadequate trip on his first start over fences at Killarney. He added that the horse improved today as a result of the drop in class and over a more suitable trip of two miles and six furlongs.
Having considered the report, the Stewards accepted it’s content.
219F Dan Gowman Memorial Handicap Steeplechase & A.E. Lynch, rider of Arkmore Vallee, trained by Moses McCabe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and was therefore pulled up.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Arkmore Vallee, at the request of trainer, and confirmed the animal to have a burst blood vessel post race.

220F Heinz Pollmeier Memorial Handicap Steeplechase & D.E. Splaine, rider of Glenstar, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped poorly and never travelled in this race.

Dundalk Meeting, 18th August 2013
221A Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Rated Race & The Stewards requested a report from Michael. J. Browne, trainer of the winner Queen Grace, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form.
The trainer reported that the application of cheek pieces for the first time and the fact that there was a turn around in the weights with My Good Brother, had in his opinion brought about today’s improved performance.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
221B Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden & I.J. Brennan, rider of Nakara, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green in the closing stages of this race.
E.J. McNamara, rider of Sniper (GB), trained by G.M. Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from stalls.
S. Foley, rider of Sandy Smile, trained by M. Halford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from stalls.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Shinyhappyjohn (GB), at the request of trainer, J.A. Nash, and reported the animal to be lame post race.
221C Bar One Racing Mourne Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Almadaa (GB), ridden by F. Lynch, placed fifth, Six Of Hearts (GB), ridden by L.P. Dempsey, Patrickswell, ridden by C.R. King, and Cash Or Casualty, ridden by R.P. Cleary, all unplaced, after it appeared that Cash Or Casualty ran short of room and had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Michael J. Browne, representing David Wachman, trainer and Master of C.R. King.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that F. Lynch was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for one race day (2nd September).
F.M. Berry rider of Arbitrageur, trained by Donal Kinsella, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount played up badly in the stalls.
221D Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden & F.M. Berry, rider of Komitoe, trained by Mrs. John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight in this race.
221E Bar One Racing Telebetting 1800 624 524 Maiden & The Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Like A Diamond, ridden by D.P. McDonagh, placed fourth, and Nymph, ridden by J.P. O’Brien, unplaced, after it appeared that Nymph met with interference.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D P. McDonagh had ridden carelessly.
Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore severely cautioned him concerning his future riding.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sticks And Stones (GB), trained by A. Oliver and reported the animal to be lame post race.
221F(i) Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk Handicap (Division One) & The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Doc Holliday, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed second, Whitethorne Scent (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed forth, Samollie, ridden by G.J. Philips, placed fifth, and Landsdowne, ridden by M.C. Hussey, unplaced.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature and they therefore took no further action.
221F(ii) Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk Handicap (Division Two) & C.R. King, rider of Blackthorn Stick, trained by Paul Martin Pierce, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well in the early stages of this race until weakening quickly.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Zelie Martin, trained by J.S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
