The Stewards fined Patrick Martin, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Versilia Gal in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

148C Vinegar Hill Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards requested a report from Richard Morrissey, trainer of the winner Fromthecloudsabove, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form.
Mr Morrissey reported that his charge disappointed on her last start at Cork on ground softer than ideal. He added that she is a multiple point to point winner on good ground and benefited from the return to a quick surface today.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
148D(i) Curracloe Handicap Hurdle (Division One) & The Stewards received a request from Ivor Kingston, trainer of Bob West, to substitute the nominated rider David Crosse, with B.T. O’Connell, as the nominated rider was delayed getting to the racecourse.
The Stewards allowed the request but were of the opinion that David Crosse was in breach of Rule 196(v) in that he failed to present himself to be weighed out within the specified time.
The Stewards therefore fined him €200.
148D(ii) Curracloe Handicap Hurdle (Division Two) & The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving the winner Mountain Lough, ridden by Andrew J. McNamara, Hurricane Jojo, ridden by J.L. Cullen, placed second, and Kauto Mill Rose (FR), ridden by Mr P.A. King, placed third.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
A.E. Lynch, rider of Real Appeal, trained by Denis Ahern, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a respiratory noise on pulling up.
A.P. Heskin, rider of Native Palm, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped in this race.
148F Slaney Handicap Steeplechase & The Stewards granted permission for the third last fence to be omitted from this race in the interest of safety due to the low elevation of the sun.
148G Barrow Mares I.N.H. Flat Race & The Stewards fined Andrew Lynch, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Whats In The Box in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

149E Hudson Taylor Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Edith Cowan, ridden by R. Dawson, placed third, Jembatt, ridden by E.J. McNamara, Hatton Cross, ridden by W.M. Lordan, and General Bunching (USA), ridden by C.R. King, all unplaced.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
C.R. King gave his evidence in the presence of P.O. Brady representing Thomas Cleary, trainer, for whom he rode.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R. Dawson had caused the incident by riding carelessly and they therefore suspended him for one race day (4th July).
The Stewards enquired into an incident before the marker poles involving Edith Cowan, ridden by R. Dawson, placed third, Collingwood, ridden by Ms K. Walsh, Jembatt, ridden by E.J. McNamara, and Hatton Cross, ridden by W.M. Lordan, all unplaced, after it appeared that Edith Cowan, Collingwood, and Hatton Cross all ran short of room and had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by E.J. McNamara riding carelessly and failing to keep straight to the marker poles.
The Stewards severely cautioned E.J. McNamara for his breach of Rule 211(a) (marker poles). The Stewards also suspended him for two race days (4th and 5th July) for his breach of Rule 214 whereby he failed to take reasonable steps to avoid causing interference and caused interference by misjudgement.
F. Lynch, rider of Maal, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left throughout this race.
149F Leopardstown Club Members Handicap & K.J. Manning, rider of Quill And Vellum, trained by J.S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from stalls, never travelled and that it felt like he lost his action in the straight.
149G Follow Leopardstown On Facebook (Q.R) Maiden & The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving the winner Digeanta, ridden by Mr M.P. Fogarty, and Storm Away, ridden by Mr P. Power, placed third.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. However, they were of the opinion that Mr Fogarty was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and they therefore suspended him for five race days (4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th July).
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Age Of Glory (GB), trained by D.J. Bunyan, at the request of the trainer and reported the animal had pulled his right fore shoe in running.
Limerick Meeting, 21st June 2013

150A 7th July All American Day Maiden & The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Autumn Light, ridden by F. Lynch, and trained by C. Byrnes.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and from John O’Gorman, authorised representative of the trainer.
In his evidence F. Lynch stated that his instructions were not too specific other than to settle his mount in mid division and make the best of his way home from there. He added that his mount was keen on the way to the start so he dropped the horse out last. The horse settled well before hanging badly in the straight. He concluded by saying that the horse stayed on well past beaten horses in the closing stages.
In his evidence Mr O’Gorman confirmed the instructions and added that the horse seemed to get outpaced and may improve for a step up in trip on easier ground.
The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer stating that Autumn Light coughed once post race but was otherwise found to be post race normal. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
The Stewards interviewed Nigel Carolan, trainer of both Orion’s Might and The Nutcracker regarding their late arrival into the parade ring for this race.
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that The Nutcracker is highly strung and took a considerable amount of time to tack up. He added that he also had some problems with the tack.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards reminded the trainer of his responsibilities to have his horses in the parade on time in the future.
G.F. Carroll, rider of Hoppsan, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got no run until the latter stages of the race and stayed on thereafter.
I.J. Brennan, rider of The Nutcracker, trained by Nigel Carolan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green and hung in the straight in this race.
150B Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden & The Stewards attempted to enquire into an incident in the straight involving Two Auld Pals, ridden by R.P. Whelan, and Diamond Lucy, ridden by C. O’Donoghue, both unplaced, after it appeared that Diamond Lucy clipped heels and the rider was unseated.
However, as C.O’ Donoghue was injured in the incident and was therefore unable to attend an enquiry, the Stewards referred the matter to the Turf Club Referrals Committee for further investigation.
150C Limerickraces.ie Handicap & The Stewards requested a report from Patrick J. Flynn, trainer of the winner Topadee, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form.
The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on his first start of the year on ground softer than ideal. He added that today’s better ground helped his charge return to form.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered. &
150D Ballyduane Stud Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight after Silldora, ridden by S.H. James, clipped heels, fell and brought down Beat The Bell (GB), ridden by F. Lynch.
Evidence was heard from a number of riders concerned.
In his evidence F. Lynch reported that Silldora fell in his path and brought down his mount.
In his evidence C.D. Hayes, rider of Captain May, reported that S.H. James was tracking him and accidentally clipped heels.
S.H. James was injured in the incident and was unable to give evidence as he was receiving medical attention.
Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature and they therefore took no further action.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Cookie Crumbles, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
150E Croom House Stud European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Goddess Of Love (GB), trained by David Wachman, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
150F Greenmount Apprentice Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Time Travel (GB), ridden by Megan Carberry, and Abrivado, ridden by C.J. Orr, both unplaced.

151B Taste @downroyal Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards enquired into possible interference from the last hurdle to the finish involving the winner Que Pasa, ridden by D.J. Condon, and Bob Le Beau, ridden by M.J. Bolger, placed second, after it appeared that Bob Le Beau suffered interference.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that, while interference had taken place, they were not satisfied that the winner had improved his finishing position as a result of this interference and so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings.
The Stewards were, however, of the opinion that D.J. Condon was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly.
Having taken his good record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for one race day (5th July).
J.P. Holly, rider of Flashing Icon, trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action and was therefore pulled up.
151C Gibson Hotel Hurdle & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sweet My Lord (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have minor injuries to the left fore pastern and right hind heel but was otherwise found to be clinically normal post race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Domination (GB), trained by C. Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
R.J. Jones, rider of Domination (GB), trained by C. Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled and jumped stickily throughout and lost his hind legs on landing on a couple of occasions.
J.J. Lambe, trainer of Silk Hall (UAE), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge made a bad mistake at the third last hurdle.
151E Dark Horse Café & Wine Bar Beginners Steeplechase & The Stewards interviewed D.M. Christie, trainer of Sam Cavallaro, regarding the behaviour of his charge prior to this race, after the horse reared up as he went out on to the track and then lay down and would not get up before being withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that he has had the horse since last year. He said the horse has never been any trouble, but had shown a tendency to get tense prior to previous runs.
Evidence was also heard from T.J. Smith, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, who was asked to examine and sample Sam Cavallaro by the Stewards. However, Mr Smith found the horse to be totally intractable and reared up in the stable, so he felt it unsafe to try to examine or sample him. He felt it appropriate that a full examination including neurological tests be carried out on this horse before it runs again in the interests of everybody’s safety.
At the request of the Stewards, Mr Christie gave an undertaking that Sam Cavallaro would not run again until a full veterinary and neurological examination (to include analysis of bloods) has been carried out at a Veterinary Hospital and a report forwarded to Mr Smith and the Turf Club for final consideration.
P.F. Mangan, rider of Theshowisover, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards’ Secretaries that his saddle slipped after jumping the second last fence in this race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rich Coast (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
L.P. Dempsey, rider of Rich Coast (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well before weakening quickly.
152E European Breeders Fund Coolmore Stud Ulster Oaks Fillies Handicap &

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Opera Gloves at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a minor injury to her right hind fetlock, but was otherwise found to be post race normal.
152F Louis Roederer Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident before the marker poles involving Patrickswell, ridden by I.J. Brennan, placed third, and Sujet Bellagio (GB), ridden by M.C. Hussey, unplaced, after it appeared that Sujet Bellagio (GB) ran short of room and had to check.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by I.J. Brennan riding carelessly and failing to keep straight to the marker poles.

B.A. Curtis, rider of Romantic, trained by P.M. Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle today’s ground.
152G Irish Stallion farms European Breeders Fund Maiden & The Stewards received a report from W. Fleming, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that G.P. Halpin, rider of Danseur De Feu, weighed in 2.1 lbs overweight.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he did not have a weight problem and only got this booking overnight as a result of the unavailability of S.H. James through injury. He admitted that, having weighed out correctly, he had a drink and a sandwich and had changed his boots. He also was unable to determine whether the breast girth was included as part of his equipment when returning to the scales.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Halpin was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for one race day (6th July).

Moran was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (f) and 10 3(g), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and with the arm above shoulder height. The Stewards therefore suspended him for one race day (7th July).

153G(i) Joe Bollard Memorial I.N.H. Flat Race (Division One) & The Stewards requested reports from a number of riders who competed in this race regarding an incident where there were a number of fallers before the turn into the straight.
Mr D. Roche, rider of Once And For All, reported that his mount suffered an injury and fell independently. Mr F. O’Toole, rider of Castlemcniff reported that his mount was brought down in the incident. Mr J.T. Carroll, rider of Dark Caviar, and Mr. B.J. Walsh, rider of Toberlownagh Lady, also reported that their mounts were brought down in the incident. Mr D.J. Smalle, rider of Dells Money, reported that his mount slipped up trying to avoid the incident.
