The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.A.Molloy, trainer of Junior Bee (declared in error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S W Flanagan rode Bonne Derreen (reserve) trained by Mark John Scallan (Race 2)
C J Orr rode Eaton Lady (reserve) trained by Miss Kate McGivern (Race 2)
R Deegan rode Homard De Chausey (FR) (reserve) trained by Paul Nolan (Race 3)

227A Wexford Races Ladies Day M'dn H'dle

G.P. Brouder, rider of Bold Approach trained by Brendan W.Duke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung out in the home straight.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Bold Approach, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had used his whip too quick as he was trying to keep his mount going straight and stop him hanging. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Brouder was in breach of R10.3(i) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays.

227B Traynors Of Wexford H'cap H'dle

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Watch The Weather (GB) trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung left in the closing stages.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Alice O'Byrne trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount felt lame pulling up.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Watch The Weather (GB), ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first, Florey Spud, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, placed second, and Ocojohn, ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed third, where it appeared that Watch The Weather got close to Florey Spud. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D F O'Regan stated that he got a slight bump but it did not cost him a place. B.J. Cooper stated that he did not suffer any interference. Rachael Blackmore stated that her horse drifted left after the last, but she put her hand back on the reins to correct him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings, and took no further action.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. J. Walsh, regarding the failure of J.S. McGarvey, rider of Mutual Respect, placed sixth to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was sure he may have mistakenly looked at the wrong screen walking back into the weigh room. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards using their powers under Rule 230, disqualified Mutual Respect from place sixth. As a consequence, they amended the result to read as follows: First; Watch The Weather, Second; Florey Spud, Third; Ocojohn, Fourth Greenhill Damsel, Fifth; Serpolette. Furthermore, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.S. McGarvey was in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 2 racedays and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

227C Think Print & Design H'cap H'dle

Mr E. Mahon, rider of Killinure Lass trained by Brian M. McMahon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Fr Gilligansvoyge (GB) trained by John G. Carr, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Naturally Blond trained by Patrick Cronin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the last with a circuit to race which caused him to move in a little.

The Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter,Mr. J.R. Banahan, that D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Naturally Blond anticipated the start which caused a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Mr J.R. Banahan, stated that all the horses were walking in a controlled manner until he raised his flag and at that point Mr O'Keeffe anticipated the start causing a false start. Mr O'Keeffe stated that his horse was walking away until the starter raised his flag at which point his mount just broke his stride and caused a false start. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Rule 208 (v)(b) and having taken his previous record into account, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

227D O’Driscoll’s Irish Whiskey Beg S'chase

P.J. Carberry, rider of Go Boy (FR) trained by T.E.Hyde, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly after the second last and was pulled up.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Leish Oscars Son trained by Neil McKnight, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

227E Irish Injured Jockeys Opp. H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Direct Image, trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Arthur's Quay trained by Padraig Roche was found to have blood at both nostrils post race possibly as a result of his fall.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that First Touch trained by Donal Commins was sore post race possibly as a result of his fall.

227F Racing TV Members H'cap S'chase

The Stewards reviewed an incident between the last two fences involving I'll Be That Lady, ridden by P.T. Enright, and Coole Arcade, ridden by Rachael Blackmore where it appeared contact was made between them both. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jack Holiday, at the request of trainer, John F. Gleeson, and reported the animal to be post race normal.

227G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr A. Burke-Ott, rider of Native Cloud, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr A. Burke-Ott, stated that he did not realise what he had done but accepted he had miss used his whip when out of contention. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr A.Burke-Ott, in breach of R10.3(b) and suspended him for 2 racedays.
