139C1 Fleadh Cheoil Wexford August H'cap H'dle

Prior to the start of race three the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course changed the going to good.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the last hurdle involving My Good Pal, ridden by Mr B.M. Coonan, placed fifth, and Pleasureofpressure, ridden by D. Robinson, placed fourth, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr B.M. Coonan stated that he received pressure from his right. D. Robinson stated that when he took his hand off the rein his mount went left and he corrected as soon as he was able. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D. Robinson, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two days.

A. Leahy, rider of Keep It Cool, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and jumped badly.

D. Robinson, rider of Pleasureofpressure, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the home straight.

Sam Ewing, rider of Getaway Blondie, trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went wrong after jumping the fourth last and pulled up.

D.J Gilligan, rider of Ash Tree Meadow (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

139F Discover Wexford H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Conor O'Dwyer, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Arnacoeur (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Conor O'Dwyer reported that he could not account for the poor performance of his charge on his last outing at Kilbeggan on the 24th of April where he finished 12th of 15 and was disappointed with the performance. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
