The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

051A Wexford (Mares) M'dn H'dle

L.P. Dempsey, rider of Divine Approach trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped and he pulled up.

051B Eoin O'Gorman Solicitors M'dn Hdle

B. Browne, rider of Pistol Smoke trained by Sean Thomas Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled.

P. Townend, rider of Miss Punch trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up having made a couple of bad mistakes.

051E Arctic Tack Stud Veterans H'cap S'chase

The Stewards requested a report from Paul Nolan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Fine Theatre, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Paul Nolan stated that todays race was a lesser grade veterans race, that his charge got the run of the race in front and really seemed to appreciate getting an easy lead and the drop back in trip all contributed to the apparent improvement in form when compared to its previous run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
