The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Enduring Love, ridden by A.W. Short, placed second and Killisk Ben Rose, ridden by M.A. Enright, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that interference had taken place and that the winner had improved its position in relation to the second placed horse, therefore the Stewards reversed the placings of the first and second. Result now reads,
first : Enduring love
second : Killisk Ben Rose
Third : Misty Adage
Fourth : Witness of Fashion.
The stewards took no further action.
