The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

David M.O'Brien, trainer of Minx Tiara (ran recently) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. P. McNamara replaced R. Deegan on Crazyheart, trained by Paul Nolan (Race 6)(stood down).
S. W. Flanagan replaced Rachael Blackmore on Western Boy, trained by P.A.Fahy (Race 6)(stood down).
T. N. Brett rode Elusive Elegance (reserve) , trained by Conor O'Dwyer (Race 7)

080A Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)M'dn H'dl

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P. Deegan, that R. Deegan, rider of Belles Benefit, placed fifth, failed to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had not presented himself at the scales for weighing in and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards used their powers under Rule 230 to disqualify Belles Benefit from fifth place. Furthermore, the Stewards found R. Deegan in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record they suspended him for two race days and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

080C FormaHoof H'cap H'dle

C.P. McNamara, rider of Cahirdown Boy trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Priory Park, trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cahirdown Boy, trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from Terence O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Ballyadam Destiny (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge was very disappointing in Thurles on its previous run possibly as a result of being too crowded with the other runners. They changed tactics today by making the running and got an easy lead from the front. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explantion.

080D Tramore Racecourse Directors S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Ian Almond, Authorised Representative for Mrs. Denise Foster, trainer of Swordsman, concerning the late withdrawal of his charge owing to the ground. The Authorised Rep reported that he intended to run his charge who was present at the track but having concerns about the ground in the home straight he withdrew his charge. Having considered his explanation, the Stewards allowed the late withdrawal on this occasion and took no further action.

080E Green Acre Marketing H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed G. Cromwell, trainer of Brex Drago, concerning the late withdrawal of his charge owing to the ground. The trainer reported that it was his intention to run his charge who was present at the track. Having walked the track, he felt the ground had dried significantly to the extent that it was too quick for his charge on parts of the track. Having considered his explanation the Stewards allowed the late withdrawal on this occasion and took no further action.

080F Lismore H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Western Boy, trained by P.A.Fahy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples taken for analysis.

R.P. Treacy, rider of Espion Du Chenet (FR) trained by Louise G. Lyons, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a noise and ran on in the closing stages.

S. W. Flanagan, rider of Western Boy trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Crimson Chief trained by J. Morrison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left.

080G I.S.F. EBF (Mares) (Pro/Am)INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.L. Queally, rider of Roisins Ciara, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and stated that his mount had hung left throughout and that he had used his whip for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.L. Queally was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays. Furthermore, arising out of the riders evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.L. Queally was in breach of Rule 213(ii) in that he had failed to report at the first instance something which may have affected the performance of his charge and having considered his record, they suspended him for one race day.
