237C Michael Griffin Auctioneers M'dn H'dle

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Broomfield Gale, trained by Robert Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around going to the first couple of hurdles.

Sam Ewing, rider of Light Of Life, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

Mr D. Doyle, rider of Thats All, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was flat out for the first half of the race.

237D Assembly Tech (M) H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident coming down the hill approaching the second last hurdle involving Pidoyne, ridden by D. Moloney, unplaced, Straight Home, ridden by P. Townend, placed third, and Good Bye Milan, ridden by P.T. Enright, unplaced, where it appeared Pidoyne ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Molony stated that he just got a bit tight for room. P. Townend stated that the horse in front of him was retreating which caused things to get tight momentarily as he received a bump. He further added that there was enough room for numerous horses in the gap. P.T. Enright stated that he received slight contact to the back of his mount and kept a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found P. Townend was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.

237E Majestic Hotel (M) M'dn H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Get In Line, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly at the second last.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the second last hurdle involving Joe Hannigan, ridden by Niall Moore, unplaced, and Miss Lia, ridden by T. Power Roche, placed first, where it appeared contact was made between the two horses on landing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

237F Comeragh Veterinary H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Great Unknown, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

237G Curragh To Curragh Cycle INH Flat Race

Mr L.J. Carberry, rider of Disco Boy, trained by Sean Byrne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room turning for home.
