The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. Fitzgerald rode Jonny Mansie (reserve), trained by Declan Queally (Race 4).

047A Leugh Beginners S'chase

Owing to ground conditions, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fence number three to be omitted from race one.

047B Racing Again March 16th Mdn Hunters S'ch

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr. L.P. Shanahan, rider of Ryehill, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr. L.P. Shanahan accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied Mr. L.P. Shanahan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard(first offence), they suspended him for one raceday.

Miss S. Doyle, rider of Cicero Grimes, trained by P.M.J.Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount made a noise.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr. D.M. Fitzgerald, rider of Carrig Wells, weighed in at 2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had declared the possible 2lbs overweight but did not use it. He then had a drink of water which put him over. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr D.M. Fitzgerald was in breach of Rule 231 and having taken his previous record into account they suspended him for two racedays.

047D Killinan H'cap H'dle

J.B. Foley, rider of Glencourt Valley, trained by Liam P. Cusack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle today's going.

047E Holycross M'dn H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Malton Groove, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

047G Ballagh INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr. T. Hamilton, rider of Blaze The Way, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr. T. Hamilton accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied Mr. T. Hamilton was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard(first offence), they suspended him for one raceday.

Miss M.M. McElligott, rider of Barton Snow, trained by William P Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stopped quickly in the straight.
