The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B.P. Kennedy replaced Cian Cullinan on Mr Chester, trained by Sarah Dawson (Race 6)(injured)
B.P. Kennedy replaced M.P. O'Connor on Miss Vivacious, trained by Thomas Gibney (Race 7)(stood down)

156B Cheers To Punchestown Women (L) Hcp Hdle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Adrian Murray, trainer of Sargent Lightfoot, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss A.B. O'Connor, rider of Joyeux Vivo (FR), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Miss A.B. O'Connor was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her record in this regard (second offence), they suspended her for seven racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss M. Walsh, rider of Benkei, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Miss M. Walsh was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and R.10.3(b) by the unnecessary hitting of her mount after its chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having considered her previous record (first offence under Regulation 10), they suspended her for four racedays.

156C Lily & Wild (Mares) M'dn H'dle

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Dontcall, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.

156D John Dowling Memorial M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed A. Harvey, rider of Innatendue (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned wo accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. Harvey was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

K. Callaghan, rider of Uncle Pat, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too keen.

156E K-Mech Mechanical H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Padraig Roche, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of So They Tell Me, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Padraig Roche reported that the last day was his first run in a handicap and he was flat out the whole way and todays step up in trip may have helped to contribute to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

156F Jim Ryan Memorial Novice S'chase

Prior to this meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. Brendan Sheridan, to amend the distance of this race to 3 miles and 147 yrds, due to a rail realignment.

K. Callaghan, rider of Saylavee, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left throughout and made a mistake at the last.

156G Punchestown H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jasmin De Cotte (FR), trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Slane Hill, trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last fence.

156H Irish EBF (Mares) (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

P. Hanlon, rider of Into The Unknown, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he felt his mount go wrong.
