The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

T.N. Brett replaced Mr M. McGuane on Thegoaheadman, trained by Martin Gerard McGuane (Race 3)(unwell).
Jennifer Torrens replaced D.P. Maxwell on Thehairyfella, trained by D.J.Barry (Race 7)(unwell)

360A BetVictor Loyalty Club Rated Novice Hdle

At the request of the Stewards, D.E. Mullins, rider of Ferdia, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount didn't travel in the last circuit and just stayed on in the straight.

360B BetVictor Irish Racing (M) Novice H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.N. Russell, rider of Party Central, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D.N. Russell was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for one raceday. Justice Leonie Reynolds absented herself from this enquiry.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the home straight involving Banntown Girl, ridden by D.E. Mullins, Choice Of Words, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe and Humble Glory, ridden by B.J. Cooper, where it appeared Choice Of Words got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.E. Mullins stated that he was aware of the riders on his inner but his mount leaned in for a stride at the point of the bend and he corrected her immediately. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that things got slightly tight for a stride on the bend when he was going backwards. B.J. Cooper stated that he got pressure from both sides. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence,the Stewards were satisfied that the interference was due to general bunching and took no further action other than to remind D.E. Mullins to ride with more awareness in future.

360C1 The Old House, Kill H'cap H'dle

The Stewards reviewed an incident after the last hurdle involving Shantou Lucky, ridden by C.D. Maxwell and Paddy Wickla (GB), ridden by P.J. O'Hanlon, where it appeared the two horses got close. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

360C2 The Old House, Kill H'cap H'dle

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Shantou Warrior trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't travel on the ground.

At the request of the Stewards, B. Hayes, rider of Mr Jackman, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got outpaced down the back, made a mistake at the third last and stayed on in the straight.

360D BetVictor Beginners S'chase

D.E. Mullins, rider of Flash De Touzaine (FR) trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made multiple jumping errors.

360E John Durkan Memorial Punchestown S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Envoi Allen (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Allaho (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively and but felt that three of the strikes were for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. P.W. Mullins was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.

360F Hanlon Concrete H'cap S'chase

G. Brouder, rider of Notice To Close (GB) trained by Seamus Neville, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't feel right.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Notice To Close (GB), trained by Seamus Neville, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.P. Kelly, rider of Classic Concorde trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake early on and jumped poorly thereafter.

360G Irish EBF Auction (Pro-Am) Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Sandor Clegane, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. B. O'Neill was in breach of R10.3(c)(unnecessary use after the race is won) and considering his record, they suspended him for one raceday.

Owing to low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles four and five to be omitted from races two and three and also fences five, six and seven to be omitted from races five, six and seven.
