In her evidence, Rachael Blackmore stated her own mount slipped and the two horses came together which made the incident look worse than it rode for her. L.A. McKenna stated that he was holding his line around the bend when it got tight from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to either rider and took no further action. Mr. M.C. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Beacon Edge, ridden by L.A. McKenna, Kilbeg King, ridden by Aidan Coleman, Lets Go Champ, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, and Toss Again, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe where it appeared that Kilbeg King may have caused interference when manoeuvering out from behind Grozni (Fr). Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In her evidence, Rachael Blackmore stated that she was holding her racing line when her mount received pressure and got a bump from her inside. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he was trying to keep his racing line when Kilbeg King moved out to challenge and bumped his mount causing an outward concertina effect. L. A. McKenna stated that he was maintaining a straight racing line when receiving a bump from his inner. Aidan Coleman stated that he had to take the blame for the incident and explained that his mount was full of running when he faced the option of either running up onto the heels of Grozni (Fr) or to manoeuvre out. He added that in his opinion there was minimum interference but it did cause a concertina effect. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that Aidan Coleman was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended Aidan Coleman for three racedays. Mr. M.C. Hickey, Chairman of the Raceday Stewards recused himself from this enquiry and Mr. J. Rearden acted as Chairman.
