McGarvey, placed fourth, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. D. Torrens stated that he felt he had the horse to go widest of all, that Mr. McGarvey was entitled to go back to his line and he suffered very minor interference. J. S. McGarvey stated that his mount went left at the third last and when he went back to his racing line there was minor contact. He added that as soon as there was he pulled back in and gave the horse on his outer a lot of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
