At the request of the Raceday Stewards, W. Joyce, rider of J M's Joy, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was awkward going to the start and missed the break. He further reported that his mount was very green and raw but ran on well in the closing stages.

255B Curragh To Curragh Cycle This Sat. H'capThe Raceday Stewards informed Anthony McCann, trainer, that Little Empire would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Little Empire, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up as the stalls opened.
R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Nituna, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got upset in the stalls and as a result missed the break.
255C Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dnS. Foley, rider of Saratoga Special, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped slightly left leaving the stalls.
255D Navan Racecourse Nursery H'capW.M. Lordan, rider of Peregrine Falcon, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right from two furlongs out.
J. Cleary, rider of Hugo's Girl, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
K.G. Kennedy, rider of Katie Ross, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
255G Racing Next At Navan On Sept 7th H'capThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Red Secret (CAN), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed third, and Lady Kai, ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, where it appeared contact was made between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Velvet And Vine, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.
