The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Marmolata, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
A. McCurtin, rider of Delightfantastic trained by John J. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.
S.W. Flanagan, rider of Mountain Gale trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
G.P. Brouder, rider of Steak And Onions trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung slightly left in the straight.
B. Hayes, rider of Marmolata trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Delightfantastic, ridden by A. McCurtin, and trained by John J. Walsh. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. A. McCurtin, stated that his instructions were to take his time and get his mount to settle. John J. Walsh, confirmed the instructions given. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Delightfantastic was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that both rider and trainer were in breach of Rule 212.A(ii) and having considered their respective records in this regard, the Stewards suspended A. McCurtin, rider, for twenty one racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee and they fined John J. Walsh, trainer, three thousand euro. Furthermore, the Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of rule 212C,(d) suspended Delightfantastic for a period of sixty days.
389C1 The Kilmallock H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed Philip Egan, rider of Haondotri, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Philip Egan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Philip Egan's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned on this occasion.
389D2 The Patrickswell H'cap H'dleThe Stewards fined Thomas Mullins, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared head gear to Arctic Light (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Macs Legend, trained by Gerard Kelleher, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Celtic Dancer, ridden by C.P. McNamara, placed third, Arctic Light (GB), ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed first and Added Bonus, ridden by A. McCurtin, placed second, where it appeared that Celtic Dancer got tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
