P. Townend, rider of Cash Back (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not travel from the half way mark and stopped quickly.
045D Anton O'Toole H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Peter Croke, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Miss Gherkin, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Peter Croke stated that a drop back in trip on better ground coupled with a very good ride had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Lucky Lobster (GB), trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
Sam Ewing, rider of Tuckmill, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P.M. O'Brien, rider of Papa Barns, trained by Tom Dreaper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount didn't travel through the early stages and then stayed on past tired horses.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Seamus Neville, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Brideswell Lad, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Seamus Neville stated that better ground today coupled with a return to a track where he has previously run well had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
045F Willie Gibbons H'cap S'chaseS.D. Torrens, rider of Fiveaftermidnight, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went wrong behind and was pulled up with a circuit to go.
