McNamara, stated that his instructions were to jump off in the last three, as his mount had been very keen on its first two runs. He said the animal had run away with the rider on his first run and had fallen at the second on his next outing. He concluded by stating that he was flat out from the turn in and was pushing to the best of his ability the whole way to the line. E. McNamara, confirmed the instructions given and stated that his charge is a very keen sort and outlined the difficulties in training his charge. He concluded by stating that the horse might have finished closer if given a stronger ride but may also have fallen given its previous record. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Mister Rocket Man was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered by E. McNamara. They were, however, satisfied that C. P. McNamara for ten racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. Furthermore, under the provisions of Rule 212(C)(d), the Stewards suspended Mister Rocket Man for a period of 42 days.
