The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of All Things Bright, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the rule and apologised. J. Manning's record in this regard the Stewards suspended K. J. Manning for one raceday.

Mullins, placed fourth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. F. Maguire stated that they raced very close and his mount rolled out a little when he pulled his whip through to his left. Mr. P. W. Mullins stated that he felt pressure from his inside pushing him out but he did not feel it cost him the race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while Dalton Highway had caused interference to Royal Illusion, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge's placings.
