K. Callaghan, rider of Old Bill Barley, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference before the last hurdle and hung left in the closing stages. The Raceday Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Drumgill, ridden by C.M. Quirke, placed fifth, The Dasher Conway, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed second, and Presenting Lad, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. M. Quirke stated that he received minor interference from his outside, but was satisfied that it was of little consequence. K.E. Buckley stated that he received a bump which cost him ground and he felt the incident had cost him the race. K.C. Sexton stated that he felt there was little or no contact and also felt his mount was idling when it hit the front. He concluded by stating that his mount always had the upper hand on the runner up and he felt he was always going to win. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Presenting Lad had caused minor interference it had not improved its finishing position as a result of this, so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore, they were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred and therefore took no further action.
263C Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dleK. Callaghan, rider of Little Lark, trained by Michael C.Griffin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount missed the jump off at the start.

263D Seán Daly Cornaher Opportunity Hcap HdleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from David Harry Kelly, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Repeat That, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that he has the animal in his care approximately three months and it came to him for a change of scenery. He confirmed his disappointment with the animals only other run for him and felt the application of blinkers and a possible liking for the track on this occasion may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
C.P. Millar, rider of Sineads Fancy, trained by Stephen Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tired very quickly.
263F Kilsaran H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Niall Moore, rider of Good As Hell, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stage of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount was hanging but accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 on two counts and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Niall Moore was in breach of both Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and Regulation 10.3.(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record (second offence for both), they suspended him for eight racedays.
263G Paddy Dunican Mem. (P-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards received a request from W.P. Mullins, trainer of Persian Daughter(reserve), to substitute the nominated rider Ms. J. Townend with Mr. F. Barlow. Peter Delmar, Authorised Representative for W.P. Mullins, stated that Ms. Townend was riding at Ascot today and would have made her riding engagement at Kilbeggan but for the fact that her flight was delayed. In relation to the replacement rider, he stated that although the rider was unknown in Ireland, he had plenty of experience riding in Point to Points in the UK and after a time working for Mr. Mullins, the trainer wished to give him this opportunity before his return to the UK tomorrow. Having considered the matter the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation offered, allowed the rider request and took no further action.
