The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Bookem Danno trained by John C. McConnell was lame of his left fore post race.

219B BoyleSports H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into circumstances where it appeared that Alex Havey refused to follow a request from an official to continue to walk around the parade ring when mounted under the provisions of Regulation 16. Alex Harvey stated that he was hoping to take a prominent position and wanted get to the start quickly so therefore admitted to turning back and refusing to follow a request from an official. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Alex Harvey was in breach of Regulation 16 and in considering his record in this regard (first offence) they fined him €100.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Toto Too, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Baltic Bird (GB), trained by William Durkan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Billericay Dickie, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. H. Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that K.M. Donoghue, rider of Toto Too, weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that both kickback and that his pads were soaking with sweat may have contributed to the discrepency in the weights. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that K.M. Donoghue was in breach of Rule 231 and in considering his record in this regard (third offence) they suspended him for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. H. Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that O.R. Brown, rider of Baltic Bird (GB), weighed in at 3.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he changed his boots and his polo neck and that he took on too much liquid. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that O.R. Brown was in breach of Rule 231(iii)(by weighing in 3.1lbs overweight) and Rule 198(vi)(changing his equipment after weighing out) and in considering his record in this regard (first offence for both breaches) they suspended him for eight racedays.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Toto Too, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

219D Bathshack M'dn

N.M. Crosse, rider of Bid Up, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump turning in.

D. McMonagle, rider of Thequietman (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the home turn.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Thompson Gunner, trained by Cian Hughes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a few bumps turning in to the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Audscar (GB), ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, unplaced , Bid Up, ridden by N.M. Crosse, unplaced, Thequietman (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fifth, Thompson Gunner, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced, Threehavenine, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, and Madam Alkaterina, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared a few horses ran short of room . Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.M. Crosse stated that he received a bump from his right turning in. Siobhan Rutledge stated that she received a bump from her right turning for home. R.C. Colgan stated that it got tight and he received contact from both sides. Wesley Joyce stated that his mount was struggling at this point and got shuffled back. D. McMonagle stated that he was forced to take off heels turning for home causing him to bump horses on his outside. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he received contact from beaten horses turning into the home straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

219E Whiriskey Refrig. Irish EBF Nursery Hcap

D. McMonagle, rider of Elzem, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount finished lame behind. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer that he was found to be lame of his right hind post race.

M.W Hassett, rider of Faire La Nouba, trained by John F. O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around throughout.

219F Ardilaun Hotel H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dragon Of Malta, trained by P.F.O'Donnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D. McMonagle, rider of Clear Quartz, trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

S. Foley, rider of Dragon Of Malta, trained by P.F.O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didnt jump from the stalls and never travelled.

219G McDonogh Capital Investments H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning for home involving Moonlit Mist, ridden by Amy Jo Hayes, unplaced, and Dream Escape (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan,unplaced, where it appeared interference took place on the home bend. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Amy Jo Hayes stated that as the field passed her she briefly ran short of room for a couple of strides. J.A. Heffernan stated that as he passed the horse on his inside he was mindful of the three horse on his outside and did his best to prevent interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards gave J.A. Heffernan the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action.

Amy Jo Hayes, rider of Moonlit Mist, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was short of room on the turn for home.

219H Salthill Hotel EBF INH (M) Flat Race

Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Arctic Piper, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left off the home bend.
