The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the fact that Arctic Gale, trained by Emmet Mullins and ridden by D. Meyler, did not continue to proceed around the parade ring and be mounted on the walk as required under the provisions of Regulation 16. Evidence was heard from the trainer and rider concerned. In his evidence Emmet Mullins accepted that he had not sought permission for his charge to be mounted outside of the parade ring. D. Meyler stated that he mounted after the bell had gone. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted D. Meyler's explanation. They were however, satisfied that Emmet Mullins was in breach of Regulation 16 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards fined Emmet Mullins €100 on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined So They Tell Me, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Mount Sinai, ridden by P. Townend, placed sixth, and Jolie Jewel (FR), ridden by P.T. Enright, placed fifth, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Man Of Worth, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Alfheim, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident passing the stands first time involving Endless Pursuit, ridden by Mr L.J. Carberry, unplaced, and Alfheim, ridden by Mr D. Doyle, unplaced, where it appeared Alfheim was struck from behind. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. L. J. Carberry stated that his mount was running very keen and he ran up onto the horse in front. Mr. D. Doyle stated that his mount received a bump from behind and lost her back end for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

216E Tote Galway Plate (H'cap S'chase)

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J Gilligan, rider of Duffle Coat, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. J. Gilligan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended D. J. Gilligan for eight racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.P. O'Connor, rider of Life In The Park, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M. P. O'Connor was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard (fourth offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended M. P. O'Connor for sixteen racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the fact that Mister Policeman, trained by W. P. Mullins and ridden by P. Townend, did not continue to proceed around the parade ring and be mounted on the walk as required under the provisions of Regulation 16. Evidence was heard from the Authorised Representative for the trainer concerned and the rider. David Casey, authorised representative for the trainer concerned stated that the person leading up the horse had proceeded to leave the parade ring after the bell had gone and he accepted that they had not requested permission to mount outside the parade ring. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that W. P. Mullins was in breach of Regulation 16 and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined W. P. Mullins, through his Authorised Representative, €100 on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed D. Meyler's, rider of Pinkerton, use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

216F Free Streaming All Racing At Tote.ie Hcp

R.P. Whelan, rider of Elinor Dashwood, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped leaving the stalls.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Buttermere Ridge, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, and Cornahilt Soldier, ridden by W. Joyce, placed third, where it appeared Cornahilt Soldier had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. J. Lee stated that his mount went right. W. Joyce stated that he momentarily ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

216G Watch Danny's Diary @ToteRacing H'cap

P. Hanlon, rider of Thermoscope, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left at the stable yard on the first circuit.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Barrier (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
