299C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

Owing to damage caused to fence #4 during the previous race, the Stewards granted permission for it to be omitted from this race.

The Stewards interviewed S. O'Callaghan, rider of Favori Logique (FR), concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence S. O'Callaghan stated that he had lost count of the times he used his whip but accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied S. O'Callaghan was in breach of Regulation 10 3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 3 racedays and instructed him to attend R.A.C.E for 1 day's tuition on the correct use of the whip.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Favori Logique (FR) trained by Ross O'Sullivan was noted to have lost a left fore shoe.

R. Deegan, rider of Brosna George trained by Stephen Gerard Carey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel during this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Brosna George trained by Stephen Gerard Carey was noted to have blood at the nostrils post race.

299D Irish EBF Supp TREO EILE (M) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Sittingonthefence, ridden by R.A. Doyle, unplaced, Lili Von Shtupp, ridden by G.B. Noonan, unplaced and Pour The Wine, ridden by K.C. Sexton, unplaced, where it appeared Lili Von Shtupp clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence K.C. Sexton stated that he was riding on the inside when he received a bump. G.B. Noonan stated that his mount was running green, jinked and clipped a heel. R.A. Doyle stated that his mount was running green, rolled in a little on Lili Von Shtupp and he was unable to react quick enough to avoid causing a bit of interference. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference that was caused was accidental in nature and took no further action.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Sittingonthefence trained by Stephen Gerard Carey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green in this race.

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for this race to be delayed by +2 minutes

D.F. O'Regan, rider of Impressive Duke trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up having gone lame.

R.M. Power, rider of Donthavetime trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race .

299G The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Free Nelson (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.W. Hendrick, rider of Imperial Lord, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr J.W. Hendrick stated that his mount ran green and he was trying to keep him straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.W. Hendrick was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr J.W. Hendrick for one raceday.

Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Free Nelson (GB) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount cut out badly.
