The Raceday Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr J.R. Banahan, that P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Quite Incredible had failed to obey his instructions when the flag had been raised. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr J.R. Banahan stated that the riders restrained their mounts when requested to do so but P.J. O'Hanlon allowed his mount to roll on. This was his reason for stopping the race. P.J. O'Hanlon on viewing the video, stated that some horses were a neck ahead of his own mount of which one of them moved forward and lit up his own mount. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P.J. O'Hanlon was in breach of Rule 208 by putting his horse into a trot or canter with a view to taking any advantage before the race is started. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended P.J. O'Hanlon for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr P.L. Malone, that C. Brassil, rider of Dont Go Yet, had weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. Brassil was in breach of Rule 231 by weighing in at more than 1 lb overweight. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended C. Brassil for two racedays.

076E The Café En Seine Novice Hurdle

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Hercule Du Seuil (FR), placed first, as compared with its previous run in a Grade 1 Novice hurdle here at Fairyhouse on the 4th December 2022 when pulled up in the race won by Marine Nationale. David Casey, Authorised representative for W.P. Mullins, reported that their charge was running for the third time in a short space of time when competing here last December and was unable to dictate the pace when taken on by other runners which resulted in him tiring and pulling up. He added that their charge was freshened up since last December and on returning today he was allowed to dictate his own pace in the lead where he was left alone. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Miss A. Hourigan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended Miss A.
