The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P. Byrnes replaced B.P. Kennedy on Gimmeago, trained by Ian O'Connor (Race 1)(stood down)

077A Dermot Casey Tree Care M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards fined Thomas Gibney, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Bowgate Street, prior to entering the parade ring.

P.J. Carberry, rider of Vector Belle, trained by Gillian Scott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early on.

M.M. McDonagh, rider of Alittlebitofrita, trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped and was subsequently pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that My Second Chance trained by Gordon Elliott had blood at both nostrils post race.

077B O'Flynn Motors Mallow (Mares) M'dn H'dle

R. Deegan, rider of All About Lucy, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left up the straight.

P.M.J.Doyle, trainer of Knockanard Lady, reported to the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer that his charge was showing signs of being in season and this was confirmed by the The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Bobbisilver, ridden by J.G. Gilligan, and trained by Paul John Gilligan. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. J.G. Gilligan, stated that his instructions were to get the mare settled, get her jumping well and to ride her to get home. He stated that the mare was green and was lugging in behind horses up the home straight. Paul John Gilligan, trainer, confirmed the instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Bobbisilver was coughing post race and samples were also taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Paul John Gilligan and J. G. Gilligan in breach of Rule 212A(ii) in that they failed to obtain from the horse a timely, real and substantial efforts to achieve the best possible place. Having considered their respective records in this regard the Raceday Stewards fined trainer Paul John Gilligan €2000 and suspended Bobbisilver from running for 42 days. They also suspended the rider J. G. Gilligan for 12 racedays and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

Paul John Gilligan, trainer of Bobbisilver, reported to the Irish Horseracing Board Veterinary Officer that his charge was scoped by the Racecourse Veterinary Surgeon and was found to have mucus in her lungs.

077F Bar One Racing Price Boosts H'cap H'dle

K. Callaghan, rider of West Cork Wildway, trained by Paul O'Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the first hurdle in this race involving Spillane's Tower, ridden by S.D. Torrens, and Flying Scotsman, ridden by J.S. McGarvey where it appeared that Spillane's Tower caught a heel and S.D. Torrens was unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.D. Torrens stated that his mount ran out of room and caught a heel. J.S. McGarvey stated his mount went slightly right after landing but he was unaware of a horse on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

077G The Mallow Commercials CVRT H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.G. Gilligan, rider of Old Chap, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found J. G. Gilligan in breach of R.10.3(b) in that he used his whip when out of contention and having considered his record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Old Chap trained by Paul John Gilligan was lame on his right hind post race.

077H Jim Ryan Services (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr A. Harvey, rider of Ballystone, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. A. Harvey was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.
