Thomas Gibney stated that a return to running in a small field of runners may have contributed to his return to winning ways. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
028D Book Your Easter Tickets Rated Nov H'dleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Henning, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Megan Donovan the Authorized Representative for Denis Gerard Hogan stated that the filly had had her soft palate fired after her last run and also has been treated for ulcers. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
028E Bulmers Bundle For Easter M'dn H'dleK.M. Donoghue, rider of He Picked Us (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by the faller at the second last hurdle.
P.J. Carberry, rider of Young Lucy, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was onepaced.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Young Lucy, ridden by P.J. Carberry, and trained by A.J.Martin. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. A. J. Martin stated that it was the filly's first run and she had done plenty but wasn't great to jump, he stated the instructions were to drop her in , get her jumping and to come home well. P.J. Carberry, confirmed the instructions, he also stated that the slow early pace led to a sprint finish and his filly was green and outpaced and he was setting her up for her hurdles. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Young Lucy was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
028F Fairyhouse Schooling Races (M) M'dn HdleM.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Newgirlintown, trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount sustained a cut on her near fore pastern, this was subsequently confirmed by the I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer.
028G Bobbyjo Day February 25th H'cap HdleThe Raceday Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, J. R. Banahan, that L.A. McKenna, rider of Sundrenched had been slowly away. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence,it appeared to the the Raceday Stewards that there had been a miscommunication between starter J. R. Banahan and rider L.A. McKenna but were satisfied that a fair start had been affected and took no further action.
L.A. McKenna, rider of Sundrenched, trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away due to miscommunication with the starter.
028H Fairyhouse Easter Festival M'dn H'dleP.J. Carberry, rider of Leading Flame, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action and was pulled up.
