At the request of the Stewards, B. Today his mount ran keen to the first hurdle, settled well from thereon until cutting out after the fourth last hurdle when passed by two other runners. He added that he held his mount together from that point to ensure that he finished.
064B Frank & Teresa O’Reilly Mem Hunters S'chThe Stewards enquired into an incident close to the finish involving Solomn Grundy, ridden by Mr J.L. Scallan, placed first and Stand Up And Fight, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, placed second, where it appeared that Stand Up And Fight edged left and made contact with Solomn Grundy. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.L. Scallan stated that the other horse had come over towards his mount and made contact. Mr D. O'Connor stated that his mount was tired having gone a strong gallop and in his opinion both horses had drifted towards each other. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action.
Mr T. O'Connor, rider of Cloudy Tuesday trained by Turlough O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled or jumped during this race.
064D McCauley Ladies National H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards requested a report from Noel Meade, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ificudiwud, placed first, as compared with its previous run when pulled up at Naas on 31st January . Noel Meade reported that his charge did not handle the very soft ground conditions at Naas and contributing factors to todays successful run included the application of cheek pieces, the step up in trip to three miles and the better underfoot conditions. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards reviewed an incident close to the finish involving On Eagles Wings, ridden by Mr H.C. Swan, placed fifth and Panda Boy, ridden by R.A. Cronin, unplaced, Party Central, ridden by Mr J.J. Codd, placed first and Condesa, ridden by Mr B.G. Crawford, placed third, where it appeared that interference may have occurred when It'sallabouteve had the other two runners in a pocket before Condesa found a gap to get out. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr W.T. Cronin stated that he was holding his line while Condesa was trying to get out but was unable to maintain his position before receiving some contact from Condesa. Mr B.G. Crawford stated that he was getting pressure from his inside for some time before getting a gap to extract his mount from behind the leaders. Mr J.J. Codd stated that he waited for the opportunity to get out from behind the leaders and took what he believed was a sufficient gap to deliver his final challenge. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the riders' explanations and took no further action.
