The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

162A Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Grand Dante (USA), trained by Diego Dias, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly into stride.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of The Road Is Long, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered after one furlong and also in the straight.

R. Whearty, rider of Altoir Na Greine, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran free to the start and hung right in the straight.

C. Horgan, rider of Sovereign Banter, trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was lugging right in the closing stages and clipped a heal as a result. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Fiery Lucy (GB), concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. In his evidence, Mr Carroll explained that his mount stood awkwardly in the stalls, jumped right for the first two strides and he kept straight thereafter. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Raceday Stewards accepted his explanation on this occasion and took no further action other than to remind Mr. Carroll of his future responsibilities in respect of Rule 211.

162B Soil.ie Sobac Healthy Grass H'cap

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.

J. Cleary, rider of Grand City Hall, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount broke awkwardly from the stalls and caused interference despite his best efforts.

W. Joyce, rider of Lia Fail, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved poorly throughout the race.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Glamorously, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount missed the break.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Call Henry (GB), trained by W. Ross, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left throughout.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Louiescall, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fifth, and Land Lover (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third, where it appeared that slight contact was made between both horses. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

162C Maher Tractor Sales H'cap

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Tawaazon, trained by John Andrew Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left up the straight.

162D Pat's Carpets Race

R. Whearty, rider of Booyea, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right in the straight when he hit the front.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Gleneagle Bay, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the furlong pole.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Gleneagle Bay, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second, and Booyea, ridden by R. Whearty, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount got unbalanced on its own accord and shortly afterwards suffered interference from its outside causing him to check He concluded by stating that he would have been unlucky not to finish second and was not satisfied the incident cost him the race. R. Whearty stated that his mount ducked right after passing the runner up on the quick ground and took advantage of loose contact when he took his hand off the rein to use his whip. He was satisfied he had not improved his finishing position as a result of the interference caused. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Booyea had caused interference to Gleneagle Bay in that he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that R. Whearty, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. In considering a penalty, the Raceday Stewards felt that there were mitigating factors in this case and imposed a penalty below the guidelines on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Something Nice trained by Michael Mulvany had blood at both nostrils post race.

162E Soil Ireland Turf Management H'cap

S.B. Kelly, rider of Sixpack (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount panicked while racing in a group of horses across the top of the track and went left despite his best efforts. The Raceday Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D. King, rider of Nibiru, trained by Mrs. C. O'Leary, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

162F Irish EBF Median Auction M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Slaneyside trained by J. S. Bolger had blood at both nostrils post race.

R. Whearty, rider of Slaneyside, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never traveled.

162G Racing Again @ Fairyhouse July 10 H'cap

The Raceday Stewards fined Anthony Mullins, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared visor to Barrys Rock, prior to entering the parade ring.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Dark Street, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Rebel Ruler, trained by J.Motherway, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was outpaced throughout and never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Tudor Manor, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R. Donaghue-Leahy was in breach of regulation 10.3(g) (frequency). Having considered her record in this regard (first offence) and using their discession on this occasion they suspended her for one raceday.

162H Fairyhouse H'cap

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Hernes Hill (GB), trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Layoftheland, trained by Sean Davis, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Luxury Island, ridden by Adam Caffrey, unplaced, Rebecca's Girl, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, Aurora Nova, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed first, and Havana Notion (GB), ridden by H.J. Horgan, unplaced, where it appeared that Aurora Nova raced across the track. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Adam Caffrey stated that his mount was one paced in the closing stages, and was slightly hampered from his outside. W. Joyce stated that the winner moved quickly across him but was clear at the time and did not cause him any interference. H.J. Horgan stated that when he went through a gap, his mount started to weaken and spotted the winner crossing in front of him, who was clear at the time and his mount shied inwards causing slight interference to Luxury Island. G.F Carroll stated that his mount was a difficult ride throughout the race and on the way to the start. He further stated that his mount dived violently right despite his best efforts, however he was satisfied that he was clear of all horses at the time and did not cause interference to any horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Luxury Island, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the furlong pole.
