The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Thomas Dowling, trainer of Purring Along (coughing) - €200 - Late Withdrawal

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Powell rode Threehavenine (reserve) trained by Paul Stafford (Race 5)
L.T. McAteer replaced G.P. Halpin on Glencullen, trained by W. Ross (Race 7)(unwell)

189A Fairyhouse Summer Season Claiming Race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at appromiately the one furlong pole involving Guest Star, ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, Signor Ferrari, ridden by H.J. Horgan, placed first, Moutarde, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, Vittorio Micheli, ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced, and Your Day To Shine, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated his mount rolled around slightly. H.J. Horgan felt he left enough room for the horses on his inner when he went for the gap that opened. G.F. Carroll stated he had to sit for a stride. P.A. Harnett stated that the gap closed in front of him before he could take it. W. Joyce stated his horse was hanging but he tried to keep it striaght. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Tartaraghan, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her record (first offence), they suspended her for two racedays.

189B Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Gannas (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check one furlong out. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

189C Fairyhouse Summer BBQ Rated Race

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Keith Henry Clarke, trainer of Tenth Amendment, for an additional ten minutes to present the horse for identification to an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

189E Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

R. Whearty, rider of The Real Screamer, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

189F Dino Day H'cap

H.J. Horgan, rider of Emporio, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room inside the last furlong.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Mount Ruapehu, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right from the stalls.

189G Chill & Grill H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Skontonovski (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that they gave him a short break which appeared to freshen him up and this coupled with the nice ground may have accounted for the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, R.M Mulligan, rider of Viva Voce, trained by Tom McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hated the ground so he rode him to try and get home.
