The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

J. S. Bolger, trainer of Parishioner (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.T. Keane rode Torn (GB) (reserve), trained by G.M.Lyons (Race 1)
J. Coen rode Tresorier (GB) (reserve), trained by John James Feane (Race 3)
J. Kearney rode Macaban City (reserve), trained by Gerard Michael Hussey (Race 6)

298A Irish EBF Median Sires Series (F) M'dn

N.M. Crosse, rider of Carna Blue, trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran slightly off the first bend.

298C Story Of Dundalk Stadium Book H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Baronial Pride (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount reared leaving the stalls and was awkwardly away.

298D Michael Cooney Memorial H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Major Power, trained by Edward Lynam, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Irish Acclaim trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned right when in front.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Meishar (ARG) trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen to the first bend.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Jungle Cove trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Darwell Lion trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very keen early on.

D. McMonagle, rider of Smaoineamh Sile (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung slightly left when under pressure.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Clew Bay trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned right up the straight.

The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of Mokhles, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively an apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that L.T. McAteer was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 3 racedays.

D. McMonagle, rider of Quiet Desire trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned right under pressure.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Fryerns (GB) trained by Thomas Coyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared on leaving the starting stalls.

W.T. Byrne, rider of Inductive (GB) trained by J.Larkin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stood in the starting stalls and was slowly away.

The Stewards informed V.C.Ward, trainer that Crecerelle, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards requested a report from David Kenneth Budds, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Getaway Queen, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on her previous run when running off the pace and had too much to do in the closing stages before fading out. He said a more prominent run tonight and staying up with the pace appeared to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

298G Floodlit Fridays At Dundalk H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rock Chant (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Snag It trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.
