The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Pak Army, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 race day.
039B Road To The Kentucky Claiming RaceSiobhan Rutledge, rider of Bellick (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung badly up the straight.
James J. Doyle, rider of Tony The Gent trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the early part of the race.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Iseebreeze, trained by Anthony Mulholland, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left in the straight.
C.T. Keane, rider of My Good Brother trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got turned sideways at the bottom bend.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Acolyte trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action in the straight.
039C Craic At The Track 13th & 14th (QR) HcapThe Stewards interviewed Ms M.J. Horsman, rider of Tara Dylan, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(b)(chance gone) and having taken her record into account cautioned her on this occasion.
039D Irishinjuredjockeys.com M'dnThe Stewards considered an email from the Office of the IHRB to the effect that Magyar (GB) trained by D.G. Hogan had been withdrawn from this race via the Non-Runner Line by the trainer's representative. Subsequently the trainer's representative had called a second time to say that this withdrawal had been a mistake and they would like to reinstate the horse in the race. Staff at the Office of the IHRB agreed to this and reinstated the horse.
The Dundalk Stewards enquired into the matter. Evidence was heard from Ms. M. Donavan, Authorised Representative of D.G. Hogan.
The Dundalk Stewards were satisfied that the power to reinstate a withdrawn horse was vested in them under Rule 194 (ix) and having considered the evidence used their powers under Rule 18 (a) to order the withdrawal of Magyar.
Mr. R.S. Martin, Acting Steward, did not attend this enquiry. .
The Stewards informed M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer that Power Over Me, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
S. Foley, rider of Intervention (GB) trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room about a furlong and a half out.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Intervention (GB), ridden by S. Foley, War Flight, ridden by B.M. Coen, and Lady Maura, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, where it appeared Intervention (GB) ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.
039E Woodford Reserve Patton StakesS. Foley, rider of In The Present (USA) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't move well.
039F Love Your Mum At The Races H'capA.J. Slattery, rider of Count Of Carabass trained by Miss Hilary McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got very upset in the stalls.
N.M. Crosse, rider of Fashaar (GB) trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up leaving stalls.
039H Winter Series Awards Day 4th April H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Talking Tough, ridden by G.F. Carroll, Scholastic, ridden by D. McMonagle, and Tommy The Hat, ridden by R.P. Cleary. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle, gave his evidence in the presence of Mr. D. Byrne. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.
