The Raceday Stewards interviewed P. Cleary, rider of Voice Of Reason, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that it was due to a lack of experience. The IHRB Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that there were signs of a low-level mark on the offside of the horse and forwarded photographic evidence of same. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P. Cleary was in breach of R.10.3(b) (unnecessary use when out of contention) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), they suspended him for two racedays. With regards to the mark which The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed faded after a short period of time, and the manner in which the whip was used (one strike on the offside) the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the landing side of the last fence involving Baltic Bird (GB), ridden by P.M. O'Brien, placed first, and Big Stage, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed second, where it appeared the two horses made contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred and that the incident had no bearing on the result of the race, therefore no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of the race involving The Iron Chef, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed fifth and Inspired Act, ridden by Mr D. McGill, unplaced, where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.L. Gleeson stated that his mount was green, spooked at the birch and he had to take a check. Mr D. McGill stated that his mount became unbalanced down the hill and received contact from behind as he slightly moved in. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
