The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Zuzukel (FR), trained by A.J. Martin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Walk On The Beach, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed first, and Glenashling, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Stone-Walsh stated that he felt his mount was intimidated by Walk On The Beach who came close and caused his mount to hang left. Mr J.L. Gleeson stated that his mount was a green individual but that he had made every attempt to maintain his line. He further stated that no contact was made between the two horses. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Walk On The Beach had caused interference to Glenashling and as a result of this interference had improved its finishing position. As a consequence, the Raceday Stewards reversed the placings and amended the result to read as follows:
First: Glenashling
Second: Walk On The Beach
Third: Hello Jack
Fourth: Speedy Box
Fifth: Colvin
Sixth: Savant Du Mesnil (FR)
Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.L. Gleeson was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two Racedays.
Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Walk On The Beach, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green after the last hurdle and shied left.
Mr S. Connor, rider of Colvin, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green early on.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Glenashling, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried across the track.
A.J. Martin, trainer of Zuzukel (FR), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was scoped following the race and showed mucus and a grade two bleed.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Zuzukel (FR), ridden by Mr J. Costello, and trained by A.J. Martin. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Mr Costello stated that his instructions were to jump off three or four lengths behind the field to give his mount the best chance to settle and run to the best of his ability. He further stated that he rode the horse at home and he was very keen. A.J. Martin stated that his charge was very keen and that unfortunately today he had run on his nerves and freely. He stated that the horse was scoped following the race and showed mucus and a grade two bleed. He further added that the rider could have made more of an effort between the third last and second last. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the IHRB Veterinary Officer who stated that Zuzukel (FR) was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation of trainer A.J. Martin. The Raceday Stewards found Mr J. Costello in breach of Rule 212.A.(iii) and suspended him for ten Racedays.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the second last hurdle involving Walk On The Beach, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed second, Glenashling, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed first, and Hello Jack, ridden by D.J. Gilligan, placed third, where it appeared Hello Jack got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr Gleeson stated that his mount ran green throughout and he had recieved a bump. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his mount ran green and leaned in. D.J. Gilligan stated that things became tight and that he had kept his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
055B Triple Crown Series Qual. Nov Hcp HdleThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Savante, trained by C.A. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed once but was otherwise found to be post race normal.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Savante, trained by C.A. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.
055C Powered By Bluegrass H'cap H'dleThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Kobalt St Georges (FR), trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed a few times but was otherwise found to be post race normal.
K.C. Sexton, rider of Shashado (FR), trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action and was pulled up.
P.T. Enright, rider of Kobalt St Georges (FR), trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room at the top of the hill.
C.P. McNamara, rider of Tubberfinn Lady, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise from the third last hurdle to the line.
The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Millyupdahilly, trained by Gerald Stephen Quinn, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have bled from both nostrils post race.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the three furlong pole on the first circuit involving Kobalt St Georges (FR), ridden by P.T. Enright, unplaced, Knocknagoran Lady, ridden by B.W. Harvey, pulled up, and Chartwell's Lady (GB), ridden by M.M. McDonagh, pulled up, where it appeared horses became tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright stated that he felt pressure from his outside. B.W. Harvey stated that he felt pressure from the outside and bunching occurred. M.M. McDonagh stated that he struggled to hold his position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted that general bunching had occurred but did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
Anthony McCann, trainer of Warrior Lion (GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel.
B.W. Harvey, rider of Knocknagoran Lady, trained by Cian Hughes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.
055E Bluegrass Horse Feed Rated Novice S'chThe Raceday Stewards received a report from the IHRB Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, who stated that P.T Enright, rider of Spirit of Legend, had sat into his mount and broke into a canter approaching the start. The Raceday Stewards subsequently interviewed P.T Enright who stated that his instructions were to make the running and that his mount was keen. He further stated that he did not feel he had anticipated the start more than any of the other riders in the field. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted P.T. Enright's evidence and reminded him of his responsibilities to follow the instructions from the Starter in this regard.
055F Bluegrass Mare Prepare Hunters S'chaseThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Beg To Differ, trained by E. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
055G Bluegrass Horse Feed (M) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.M. Halford, rider of Kenisa Sport (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr Halford was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency). Having considered his record in this regard (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
