G.B. Noonan, rider of Ollie La Ba Ba, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly interfered with on the run in.

T.P. Harney, rider of Talk In The Park, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right when he hit the front.

Cian Cullinan, rider of Ashlia Dancer, trained by P.G. Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered in the straight and was nearly brought down.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the home straight involving Ollie La Ba Ba, ridden by G.B. Noonan, placed third, Talk In The Park, ridden by T.P. Harney, placed first, and Ashlia Dancer, ridden by Cian Cullinan, placed fourth, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Cian Cullinan stated that his mount was staying on up the rail when the gap closed and he collided with the rail. He further added that he felt he would have been a lot closer but for the interference. G.B. Noonan stated that he was aware of the horse on his inside so had his whip in the right hand. He further added that Talk In The Park leaned in on top of him causing the interference which he felt had cost him the winning of the race. T.P. Harney stated that when he hit the front he struck his mount and he veered right but felt he had corrected him immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Talk In The Park had caused interference to both horses, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that T.P. Harney was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three racedays.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P. Hanlon was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
