The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

C.A.McBratney, trainer of Caminito Del Rey (off feed) - €200
Ray Hackett, trainer of Super Cub (GB) (transport difficulties) - €200
Ray Hackett, trainer of Littlebiggie (transport difficulties) - €200
Peter Fahey, trainer of Koori Star (ground) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.K. Donovan rode Dakota Chief (reserve) trained by Louise G. Lyons (Race 2)
Mr. S. Connor rode Southey (reserve) trained by S.R.B. Crawford (Race 2)
Mr. S. Connor replaced Mr P. McNeilly on Cap Bernat, trained by Robin McNeilly (Race 7)(stood down)

195A ITBA Mares Mdn Hdle

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Kathleen Gold, trained by R.P.Burns, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly early on.

D. Meyler, rider of Mutha (FR), trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Hanara Rovan, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was hampered by the loose horse on the run to the last.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Legacy Juno trained by S.R.B. Crawford was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

J.C. Gainford, rider of Gina Moon, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was running keen and clipped a heel before the hurdle past the stands.

195B Cosy Roof (C&G) M'dn H'dle

S.D. Torrens, rider of Strictly Tango, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

D. Robinson, rider of Hey Driver, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Mortimer Duke (GB), trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he tried to show his mount a hurdle on the way to the start and he went through the wing.

195C Quinn Estate Agents H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rightfolksplease, trained by Paul W. Flynn, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed T. Joseph Kelly, rider of Tipp For Mac, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that T. Joseph Kelly was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and 10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence under Regulation ten), they suspended him for five racedays.

195F Margaret & Shaun Harte Welcome Hcap Hdle

P. Hanlon, rider of Hardy Buck, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bit tight for room at the last on the first circuit.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Oldtown To Emly, trained by K.A. Heffernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home involving Tara Boe, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed fourth, and Blacksmiths Forge, ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed first, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. J.L. Gleeson stated that his mount was leaning left and going backwards at the time. Mr. F. Maguire stated that his mount is a very difficult ride. He further added that as he went to pull his whip through, he looses slight contact with the reins but felt he corrected her immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
