359A Galtee 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Aveena O'Keeffe, that Jamie Hayes, rider of Poetica,trained by John Joseph Hanlon, had presented himself to weigh out at three pounds overweight, non of which was declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Jamie Hayes was in breach of both Rule 195 and Rule 198 and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards fined him €150 on this occasion. The Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion having consulted with the trainers representative, Chris McGill, who stated that there was no other rider available to make the weight. Furthermore, the Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer, €130 for failing to lodge the appropriate paperwork in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147(v), (written notification of Authorised Representative).
359B1 Charleville Cheese M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kings Halo, trained by James Daniel Dullea, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
K.C. Sexton, rider of Colman's Courage trained by A.J. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and was pulled up.
359B2 Charleville Cheese M'dn H'dleThe Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving He'sthewon, ridden by J.M. Moore, unplaced, Parkview Boy, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, unplaced, Wanchu Bach, ridden by P. J. Carberry, unplaced, Alma Mahler, ridden by K.J. Brouder, unplaced and Sweet Street, ridden by O.R. Brown, placed fifth, where it appeared Wanchu Bach clipped heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and they took no further action.
359D Kerry Group Irish EBF (M) Novice S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sapphire Lady, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
P. Townend, rider of Sapphire Lady trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the fourth last and then stopped quickly.
At the request of the Stewards, J.M. Moore, rider of Jeremys Flame, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount can be very keen and wears a hood to help her settle. Furthermore, he added that he dropped her out today to get the trip and he felt he was close enough to win if she had jumped the last two fences better.
359E Kerry Group Stayers Novice H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Darrens Hope, trained by Robert Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of being in season post race.
P. Townend, rider of Darrens Hope trained by Robert Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up.
The Stewards interviewed A. McCurtin, rider of No Memory, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found A. McCurtin in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered A. McCurtn's record in this regard the Stewards suspended A. McCurtin for three racedays.
359G Kerrymaid Novice H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Satin Sun, trained by James Daniel Dullea, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Zaccarela (FR), ridden by K. J. Brouder, placed first and Feyan, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed second, where it appeared that Zaccarela drifted left and carried Feyan off its racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Zaccarela had caused interference to Feyan and in doing so had improved its finishing position in relation to the second horse. The Stewards therfore reversed the placings of the first and second horses. Furthermore, the Stewards were satisfied that K. J. Brouder was in breach of rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered K. J. Brouder's record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.
Amended result now reads:

2nd : Zaccarela
3rd : Dessie Deschamps
4th : Lunastar
5th : Rocconrockall
6th : Oscer Romero .
P. Townend, rider of Satin Sun trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the fifth last and stopped quickly.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Influential Lady trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a very bad mistake in running.
