J.A. Heffernan, rider of Oakley (GER), trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked right under pressure.
D. McMonagle, rider of Storm Steps, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Riyami, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Oakley (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the home straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. J.A. Heffernan accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.A. Heffernan in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for four racedays.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sil Ver Klass (FR), at the request of trainer, A.J.Martin, and reported the animal to be post race normal.
391C CorkRacecourse.ie Rated RaceH.J. Horgan, rider of Fanaigi Linn, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
391E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from G.M.Lyons, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Gypsy Woman, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Shane Lyons, Authorised Representative for G.M. Lyons, stated that both a weaker race and a step up in trip had contributed to the apparent improvement in form today. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
391F(i) Follow Us On Social Media H'cap (Division One)R.P. Whelan, rider of Doctor Grace, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tightened up for room at the halfway point. Subsequently the Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Salt Whistle Bay, trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at around the furlong marker where Salt Whistle Bay, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, had to take a check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
391F(ii) Follow Us On Social Media H'cap (Division Two)C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Golden Days, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check inside the final furlong.
C.T. Keane, rider of Lasting Peace, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his right rein snapped after a couple of furlongs.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Cuala Bula, trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left in the home straight.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside to furlong pole involving Super Cub (GB), ridden by S.D. Bowen, placed fifth, Golden Days, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, unplaced, Pascalia, ridden by B.M. Coen, unplaced, and Cuala Bula, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced, where it appeared Golden Days had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.D. Bowen felt he kept straight and did not contribute to the incident. C.J. McRedmond stated that he had to take a check when running tight for room. B.M. Coen stated that his filly was leaning away from the horse on its outside. R.P. Whelan stated that he was conscious of the horses on his outside but kept a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Von Krolock, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the home straight.
