The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

William Cronin, trainer of Caught Again (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J. C. Gainford replaced J.S. McGarvey on Quest With Speed, trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 4) (Stewards permission).

057A Welcome To Student Raceday M'dn H'dle

L.A. McKenna, rider of Pourquoi Poi, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a fright at the first and ran very green thereafter.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Hudson (FR) trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden was found to have blood at both nostrils, possibly as a result of a fall.

057B Racing Home For Easter Festival Hcap Hdl

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Comanche Moon, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.

P. Byrnes, rider of Comanche Moon, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

C.M. Quirke, rider of A Family Affair, trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly after jumping the third last hurdle.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first, involving Smallcraftwarning, ridden by Miss T. Quail, Tremaine (GB), ridden by D. King and Roxboro River, ridden by D.E. Mullins, where Miss T. Quail was unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Miss T. Quail stated that she received slight pressure from her inside, clipped a heel of the horse in front of her and was unseated. D. King stated that he maintained a straight racing line. D.E. Mullins stated that he maintained his racing line and felt that the incident was unfortunate. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by tight riding on the approach to the first, that no riding offence had occurred, and they therefore took no further action.

057C Voodoo Rooms M'dn H'dle

J.J. Slevin, rider of Kingstonn (FR), trained by Brian M. McMahon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very difficult on the way to the start, which contributed to a delay to the off time. Having considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Battleoftheboyne, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

K.C. Sexton, rider of Sacramental, trained by J.R. Finn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

057D Albert Bartlett Series Qual. H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms. M. Kelly Authorised Representative for Charles O'Brien, trainer of Paradise Lost and G. Brouder, rider of Paradise Lost, where it appeared that Paradise Lost crossed the parade ring when mounted. Evidence was heard from G. Brouder who stated that he instructed the person leading up his mount to cross the parade ring and exit, which was confirmed by Ms. M. Kelly. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G. Brouder was in breach of Regulation 16 and having considered his clean record in this regard, they fined him €100 on this occasion.

057E Social Packs Easter Festival H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sir Bob, trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

057F Gentlemen's League (QR) H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Mr. Paul Tobin, trainer of Twoplustwo Equals, to run his charge without hind shoes as he had complied with the provisions of Regulation 16.

057G Buy Tickets (M)(L) (Pro-Am)INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Ginny Weasley (GB) trained by James M. Barcoe was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.
