314A Mallow 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Kaleosun (FR), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed fourth, and Right Now, ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed sixth, where it appeared Right Now hit a spur. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.W. Kennedy stated that his mount jumped the hurdle slightly left, he came back in to maintain his racing line and that no contact was made between the riders and their mounts. J.J. Slevin stated that his mount got a good jump and landed on the inside of Kaleosun(FR) but he ran out of racing room and hit a spur. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

314C I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Solitary Man, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence D.J. O'Keeffe stated that the first four or five strikes were for corrective purposes but he did accept that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were not satisfied that some of the strikes were for corrective purposes and as such found that D.J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency). Having taken his previous record into account, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three racedays.

314D1 Finbarr Galvin CUPRA H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the first bend where it appeared that Max Time ran short of room. Having viewed a recording of the race considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

314D2 Finbarr Galvin CUPRA H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballydangan, trained by D.Harvey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

314E Qifa Financial Rated Novice S'chase

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Butterflyvespiere (FR), trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up injured.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from J.Motherway, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Time Marches On, placed first, as compared with its recent form. J. Motherway stated that Time Marches On jumped poorly on his last two starts and today his jumping was much better and he felt this may of helped bring about todays apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

314F Co-Op Superstores H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cayd Boy (FR), trained by Liz Doyle, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Ms A. O'Keeffe, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that M.M. McDonagh, rider of Typical Thomas, weighed in at 1.2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence M.M. McDonagh stated that he was claiming off bottom weight and had a small drink of water after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M.M. McDonagh was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having taken his previous record into account the Raceday Stewards cautioned M.M. McDonagh on this occasion.

314G Racing Again Nov. 5 (P-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the tacking up of Ballysax Hank, trained by Miss Katy Brown, in this race whereby Mr. Daniel Dunne, an unlicenced person, was observed tacking the horse up and furthermore was observed legging up the rider in the parade ring. Evidence was heard from Miss Katy Brown and also from I.H.R.B. Security Officer Mr. Frank Clune. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter onto a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.
