C. Clarke replaced Mr M.J. Kenneally on Courtmac Gesture, trained by Colin Motherway (Race 8)(injured).
062A Kilmanahan Beginners S'chase
The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Flidais, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).
Following a request from J.P. Dempsey, trainer of Dee's Getaway, for D. Meyler to ride his charge due to the declared rider being stood down the Raceday Stewards interviewed the trainer. J.P. Dempsey said his charge can be quiet difficult and seeing as it is her first run over fences he would like an experienced rider. He further added D. Meyler rides the filly regularly at home and knows her well. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the rider request on this occasion.
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Flidais, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right throughout.
062C Careys Castle H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Walkonthebriteside trained by John C. McConnell had blood at both nostrils post race.
062D Nire Valley M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Aherne, rider of Tom Sarah Evelyn, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays.
D.J Gilligan, rider of Howdoyalikeherhome, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
A. Harvey, rider of Crab Road, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost action in the back straight.
062E Adare Manor Opportunity (M) M'dn H'dlePrior to the running of this race the I.H.R.B. Clerk of the Course changed the going on the hurdle course to good, good to yielding in places.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Thequeenof Spikle trained by James Joseph Mangan had blood at both nostrils post race.
062F1 Glenary H'cap H'dleS.D. Torrens, rider of Hitthehayson, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung both left and right throughout.
D. Robinson, rider of Esticky End, trained by Tom McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost action at the second last hurdle.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning into the straight where it appeared Chemdawg, ridden by P.T. Enright, ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
062G Next Race Meeting (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the bend past the stands involving Ace Brannigan, ridden by S.D Greene, Cosmos D'ainay (FR), ridden by Mr H.C. Swan, and Saint Peregrine, ridden by Mr B.T. Stone, where it Saint Peregrine cocked his jaw and ran out carrying the other two horses out of the race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
S.D Greene, rider of Ace Brannigan, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was carried out at the bend past the stands.
Mr H.C. Swan, rider of Cosmos D'ainay (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was carried out by the horse on his inside at the bend past the stands.
Mr B.T. Stone, rider of Saint Peregrine, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount cocked his jaw and ran out at the bend past the stands.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined John Valjohn, trained by S. Curling, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
