356G Point To Point Evening 16th May Maiden Hurdle & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Ballygill Katie was found to have a burst blood vessel post race.

094C ww.louthholidays.com Median Auction Maiden & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Shunned (GB), trained by D.K. Weld, coughed following a veterinary examination post race, but was otherwise found to be post race normal.

099B Power European Breeders Fund Tetrarch Stakes & The Stewards interviewed David Wachman, trainer of Cougar Ridge, concerning the behaviour of his charge when refusing to load.
The trainer stated that his charge has given trouble at the stalls in the past on race days but always enters them easily at home. He added that the horse needs to enter the stalls quickly and without any delay, but he was led towards the incorrect stall today before the error was realised. He felt that this delay may have contributed to the horse’s subsequent behaviour.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards informed Mr Wachman that Cougar Ridge would have to be re-certified before being declared to run from stalls again. Furthermore the Stewards reminded him that any recurrence of this nature by his charge may render him liable for suspension.
099D Club Bar Bistro @ Keadeen Hotel Handicap & The Stewards received a report from I. Hamilton, Turf Club Clerk of the Scale, regarding the fact that Megan Carberry, rider of General Bunching, weighed in 1.9lbs overweight.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 231.
Having taken her record into account, the Stewards therefore severely cautioned her concerning her future responsibilities in this regard.
Mr Peter N. Reynolds, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.
099F Newbridge Credit Union Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the last two furlongs involving Man Of Erin, ridden by J.P. Murtagh, placed third, Footprint, ridden by A.P. Thornton, placed fifth, Ningaloo Reef, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Winning Impact, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, both unplaced, after it appeared that Winning Impact had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that A.P. Thornton had ridden carelessly (Rule 214).
Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for one race day (20th May).
099G P.G.Duffy & Sons Citroen Maiden & The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Scotland Forever, ridden by T.P. O’Shea, Wexford Opera, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed second, and True Verdict, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
099H Irish Field I.N.H. Flat Race & The Stewards received a report from I. Hamilton, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr R.P. McNamara, rider of Ebazziyr, weighed in 1.9lbs overweight.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 231.
Having taken his record into account, the Stewards therefore severely cautioned him concerning him future responsibilities in this regard.

Mr N. McParlan replaced M.A. Enright on Hidden Future, trained by C.A. McBratney (Race 5) Injured.
M.J. Bolger replaced R.C. Colgan on Dark Prospect (GB), trained by Noel Meade (Race 5) Injured.
P.F. Mangan replaced B.J. Cooper on Commanchewardance, trained by Denis Paul Murphy (Race 5) Injured.
100A Tommy Leckey Memorial Maiden Hurdle & R. Walsh, rider of Andiamos, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled in this race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Andiamos at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
100C Sean Graham Bookmakers Hurdle & The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer of the winner Bondage, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form at Cheltenham where he finished 21st of 28.
The trainer reported that this horse failed to get competitive running on softer going than ideal at Cheltenham last time and that he appreciated today’s better ground.
Having considered the report, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered.
100E Daily Mirror Handicap Steeplechase & P. Townend, rider of Yes Tom, trained by R.T.J. Wilson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.
100F Newmac Contracts Ltd. Hunters Steeplechase & Mr M.P. Fogarty, rider of Nautical Storm, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.

357B Proudstown Rated Race & J.P. O’Brien, rider of Vinson Massif (USA), trained by A.P. O’Brien, reported to the Turf Club Starter that his mount lost a hind shoe on the way to the start prior to this race.
357C Trim Handicap & K.J. Manning, rider of Tiger At Heart, trained by J.S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room in the closing stages.
357E Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Salsabil Stakes & The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Sleeping Beauty, ridden by P.J. Smullen, placed third, and Harmonic Note (GB), ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed fourth.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Morga, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed fifth, and Coolibah, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, after it appeared that Coolibah had run short of room on the rails and had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental in nature and they therefore took no further action.
357F Come To The Family Day May 19th Handicap &The Stewards fined C. O’Donoghue, rider, €200 for failing to present himself to be weighed out to ride Etesian in this race, in accordance with Rule 196 (v).
